According to pulp JGR will be on Suzukis

So, when JGR got Stew, Yamaha didn't try to steal him and restart the factory team. Same as when they hired Barcia, and he was one of the elite few that could win moto's when he went to JGR as well. There had to be a reason Yamaha got with Webb and restarted the factory team, because it would have been easy for Yamaha to just send him over to JGR as well. Think about it.

I'm guessing without a full factory team from Yamaha, Webb signs with one of the other brands on their factory team. Yamaha didn't want to lose Webb, so they hired Reed and his top 22 guys so that they were fully ready for Webb's 450 SX debut.

Barcis and DV's career are not all that different. I dont see RC, RV, CR, McGrath, or any of the greats on here talking about how many cars they can buy or how much their divorce cost them.

Results wise you can make that argument, but DV definitely was a technical rider, the tracks in his peak were never more technical, they were on 2 strokes which made it even harder again, he took down every modern great more than once, and seeing what he did with Chiz in 2011 I think he legitimately would be an amazing coach.

I hope he rides that yellow bike like no one else and finally gets a win. Yamaha really pulled one over on JGR and I can only imagine the shot of motivation they have now.

Im still shocked they wouldn't do Huskys.

Barcia was arguably at his best on a 125 during his AM career. Four strokes did him no favors. Barcia beat RD, RV, CR , TC, CP Roczen and a few other guys who have won titles. Regardless, I just think it was a lame move by a once great rider. No need for it IMHO.

So where are all the Vital experts saying JGR would never go to a brand that produces motor vehicles that clash with Toyota?

He might have been better off on two strokes, but there are a couple of older dudes who would have still worked everyone if the change hadn't happened too.

Barcia won two lites SX titles on four strokes... But in the little class, the bikes handle great and you need to rev the shit out of them to go fast. He's exceptional at that.

Like I said elsewhere, he gets his doors blown off by Kenny all year and probably couldn't hear Ken.

What really funny, is its not like the bike has changed that much . if James rode like he did at toronto 13 he win s every race this year. So its def not the bike . James biggest problem ,and always has been his DAD .,Telling him how to ride and set up the bike . Plus it was a disgrace the way James came to A1 this year . After all the team did for him . He should of been ready ,or retired before A1 . i feel sorry for yosh team
I echo that sentiment.

Not sure, but perhaps if that's the case then it explains why they could..or perhaps this was never ever a factor in what manufacturer they went with.

I am actually surprised they didn't go to Kawasaki

Sidenote: Did anyone catch his interview on that RedBull Ride United movie? It sure sounded like he said (in a very nice way) that the Yami is a high powered bucking bronco.

He is the bucking bronco, not the bike... Listen guys, all those guys, all those types of riders (top 4 to 8-10) will do exactly the same on any brand they ride. What would change their outcomes is working differently and more efficiently. They do what they've been doing for years hoping for a better outcome. If you dont change what you do the outcome will always be the same. And it IS always the same...
Lucky Nichols is probably agreeing with you right about now.........!

I don't know why people don't give Barcia more credit. Two time 250sx champion multiple wins in the 450 class. He's had more success than just about anyone else in the class besides 3-4 top guys. A few bad years moving to Yamaha, but two national wins and a great showing at mxon last year and everybody jumps his shiz I don't get it.
