Js7 has ridden 3 bikes this offseason.

I will be very curious to see what he comes away with.

As good as most look on the Honda (ie Barcia) compared to their old/next ride, I would like to see JS7 on a Honda. Barcia and Stewart both look(ed) like they are riding a heavy boat on the Yamaha's.

It will be a Cabela's Berkely Shimano Duck Commander Rappala sponserd ride with him dressed entirely in camo like the JT gear of the early to mid eighties. The bike the semi everything camo plus they are going to have an interactive fan sight where if you catch a fish with the same number as James' finishing position you win a million dollars.Of course there will be no fish marked DNF or DNS so their money will be safe....

Lets talk about Mookie, the raining west coast champ, a guy that we all agree was disadvantaged said to be too big for a 250, and you're running him down!

James won in 2012, 2013, 2014.

Suspended in 2015.

Came back in 2016 and basically embarrassed himself.

Do you think, after that showing, that he will come out in 2017 in the same way?

Personally I feel like he would have hung up the boots if he knew there was nothing left in the tank. I feel like he should, and will, come out this year as prepared as ever. If he doesn't, the joke is on him. That being said, preparedness will not keep him from crashing. I see him either doing much better than last year, or hanging up the boots after a series of crashes and inconsistency.

Either way, I feel like the guys talent deserves a shot with a decent team, performance based, based off of his name alone. He gets more publicity than any rider out there (good & bad).

His talent says that he "can" still win. Likelihood is another story, but 2014 was not that long ago... Unless his crashes this year actually messed up his head enough to decrease his ability, he can win on a good day.

You guys realize that for James to win, he's gotta beat Tomac, Dungey, Roczen, Anderson, Moosecan and hand blisters?

And he's a better SX rider than them all.

When was the last time we saw Stewart at his true peak form? 2008?

That is almost 9 years ago.

In my eyes he is the most talented and best SX rider of all time, not even close. But let's be real here...Every passing year since his glory days there has been SOMETHING going on.. Bad bike, doping, injuries,... I'm confident in saying that James at his best would completely wreck everybody from Tomac to Dungey and Roczen or anyone else. I wan't to see that just as much as the next guy, but let's be real, the chances of him ever reaching the highest level he is capable of reaching again, are very slim.

And even if he did, the chances of him doing that for an entire championship are even more slim. There is something inherently dangerous about the way he rides. That wasn't a problem on the 2-strokes because he could muscle those bikes around any way he wanted to and it worked for a while on the Kawi 450 but every time since then it has just been one huge crash after the other. James doesn't ever tip over. It seems like every crash he has, he has no idea he's about to crash, which makes them even more scary (as a lot of us will know).

For the sport, I really hope we haven't seen the last of him, but regardless of how it turns it, it bums me out every time I see James how many years of his incredible talent and ability on the bike have been wasted due to one reason or another.

James Stewart Toronto 2014. Not that long ago. It's still in him if he is willing to do the work. That kind of talent doesn't just go away in two years.

James time is up. He's still a talent on the bike, that's without question. What he doesn't seem to have is the drive to get back to the top.

I'd love to be proven wrong, but if I were laying a bet down there's no way I'd put money on James.

The younger kids have gotten faster over the past two years, and they have stayed on a bike all season pounding laps and acclimating to the speed. When you sit out like that, for that long, you are behind the curve and talent alone cant make up for the track time. Nothing beats putting in laps and polishing your skill set.

RCH has probably loosened up some big bucks with KR leaving. They might have the resources now to field a team with s couple of real players now.
