YZ450F has not won a SX since Stewart?

I was thinking about Webb going to 450 next year and was wondering how he will do on Big Blue.
Then it occurred to me that not many people have won races on this bike! The last guy to win a 450 Supercross on a YZF was Stewart in 2012. (Daytona in March) Am I missing one?

Outdoors Barcia won Budds and Red Bud in 2015. Not sure how far you have to go back after that to find another outdoor win.

Villopoto, Dungey, Roczen and Tomac haven't ridden Yamaha. What do you expect?

Are those the only guys that have won 450 races in the last four years?

I think Langston (in 2007) might have been the last guy to win an outdoor race on a Yam 450 before Barcia. Not sure though.

Grant won Anaheim in 2009.

No. Anderson, Seely, Reed? Maybe a few more. But for the most part, those are your guys and none are or have been on Yamaha since turning pro.

Man but they be killin the 250 class......that has to be the biggest industry surprise over the last 3 years, 250s. I'm sure they thought Reed and Barcia would have won in the 450s

Webb's got a good chance of changing that, especially if there are 22 races a year...

Yes they've had a little success with that bike even with Stewart on it when he still had his winning ways (250's been stellar). But in another thread here it was said that Yamaha claims they sell more 450's than any another manufacturer. So whats this mean; proMX racing has little marketing benefit (i.e. win on Sunday sell on Monday is BS for MX bike sales)?? Or maybe they just discount the hell out of them to move them (doubtful, Japanese play fair with themselves I believe)? It used to be said that RC never increased sales for Honda's MX bikes when he rode for them despite being a dominant racer.

Slightly off topic but I see more Yamaha's then any other bike at the local track. But still, I don't recall a Yamaha winning a 450 SX since Stewart in 2012 with JGR

Also off topic, how many RMZ do you see at the local tracks? I think I see more RMs than RMZ bikes, you think with KR and JS7 they would have a little more representation...

Agreed. I only see a few rmz's. More two stokes for sure

Some weekends I see one. Yes just one. Same guy every weekend and he wants a Husky but can't sell his RMZ on Craigslist.

Tons of YZF's and CRF's yet neither of them have won that much on the 450's. Hell I only ride Honda because MC was the shit back in the day.

webb and reed won a race at the aus-x open, peick won lille sx... but I guess that doesn't count on vital. someone will find some excuse...

Everyone remembers when the new YZF came out a few years back it was too heavy and wide. That hurt them for a few years.
It is also kind of surprising that JGR does not have more wins. One of the best-funded teams ever, with off-the-charts resources- and how many overall wins?
Not bagging on them- it just shows how brutally competitive this sport is. I wonder how much each win cost them in the final count in raw dollar terms?
