Spotted Matt Bisceglia on a Star Racing Yamaha today...

Sorry, no photos... Busy testing some 2017 KTM models at Pala... But, I spotted a blank Yamaha, with a certain rider without a name or number. It turned out to be Matt Bisceglia pounding out motos on one of Star Racing Yamaha's YZ250Fs... Maybe we'll see him contest the last two rounds since Jeremy Martin bowed out? Or maybe he'll still be on the Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 and they were thinking about next year...

Star already has four riders, and Bradley Taft was placed on Rock River, which made me suspect they didn't want to run five bikes... But maybe that has changed...

Current 2017 lineup is:
Aaron Plessinger
Mitchell Harrison
Colt Nichols
Dylan Ferrandis

I also heard today that we might see an energy drink sponsor change for Star in 2017...
I might be biased...but i'd take Matt over Harrison and Nichol's . Ferrandis hasn't really lit the world on fire. Was really hoping Matt would of landed a 450 deal though. He rides them better than the 250f's.

Nichols will be a better SX rider IMO

But outdoors, Matt is the better choice.

I just don't see any Yamaha small bike guys fighting for a championship anytime soon.

Pretty sure you are all wrong, Tab Energy is the new energy drink sponsor for Star. The helmets will look pretty poppin if they follow the same design as the can.

Man, Rockstar losing Cooper, the Martin brothers, etc.... there goes all thier top guys in one season!! They will have Anderson who might be good for a few podiums next year but other than that James Hansen the rider rep there will have a pretty chill season.

I've always thought 5hr Energy would be an ideal for in moto. They have a superior product, the demographics are there and the owner is one of the better humans alive. It would be nice to see them enter the fray.

I wouldn't be completely surprised to see him under Rock River for one year... With a full Star/Factory Yamaha bike... He's already had that kind of treatment while being under Horton's tent this year in amateurs.

You know that Nichols worst finish was an 8th this year and best was a 2nd. What was matts best a 3rd? I don't think he made the main a couple times. But okay.

I was more along the lines of saying I had hoped he would of gotten a 450 deal. He's one of those guys that just rides a 450 better than the 250. Was hoping a good team might look at some of those Team Suzuki fill in rides he had and made a spot.
