Does anyone use one of these? It looks interesting. My OCD usually kicks in when I disconnect my pump. I'm always concerned that more air bled out than usual and this looks like it might cure that.

the OEM Honda and the aftermarket form pumps (that ive seen) are zero loss, so you'd be putting a zero loss adapter on a zero loss pump. if the attachment on your pump twists off, its zero loss design, and that little "pssst" is coming out of the hose/tube of the pump, not the fork.

get a compressed nitrogen tank for your trailer/truck/van with a hose, and use that for your forks. just use the pump as a pressure gauge. works much better than "air". it's not perfect, but its much better than air.

I just have the pump that comes with the 16 KX450. It looks like the Works Connection one but I don't know for sure.

The ones from Works Connection, Kawasaki and Suzuki are indeed from the same factory. I don't know about the internals, but I'd guess they are all the same, and that yes, they do lose pressure upon disconnection.

If you want to know that your fork readings are accurate, get a no loss adapter. Or, just know that whatever setting you like corresponds to the number on your gauge, even though that number is incorrect as soon as you unscrew the pump.

You can get the Suzuki version for $29.95 at any Suzuki dealer: 990A0-99211.

I have the WC no loss adapter, and in addition to the peace of mind that no air loss during disconnect, it's also much easier to thread on and off shraeder valves (SFF Air-3 valves)

Just my opinion

I have one, gives me more peace of mind rather than I think I lose pressure when disconnecting...just makes one thing I never need to worry about

This past weekend I set my inner chamber at 178 for my for my first moto and when I checked it for the second moto a few hours later, it was at 184 and that was after the pump filled itself which is worth a couple psi. The first Moto was rainy and a bit cooler but by the second moto, the sun was fierce and the temps rose quite a bit. On a normal day, it won't move that much but from now on, I'm going to double check it between motos. it's probably worth noting that the outer didn't move at all but the balance dropped some. I thought that was weird.

Oh, and I checked my stock Kawi pump and it seems to have a "no leak" valve. I screwed it on and let it get a reading and then I slowly unscrewed it until I started to hear the hiss. As soon as I heard it, I stopped unscrewing it. I was trying to see if I could get the chamber to leak but it only hissed out the air that was in the pump and when I reconnected it, it dropped 2-3 psi.

A must have tool if you're airing up balance chamber on CRF250 Showa SSF.

I have the stock pump that came with my 16 kawi and I have no issues. I pump all up to what pr2 recommended, ride it for a month or so. check it and it's within a psi or still exact. I bought no air loss adapter.

Purchased this and tried it out tonight on my 2017 KTM 250 SX-F
I set psi to 154, disconnect, then shortly after re-connected and the reading was never 154. Is that normal. I tired it like 10x.

Funny you posted this as I am having the same issue with my sons SFF's. pump the fork up correctly, disconnect, reconnect and get a different reading. Up to 15 lbs difference. Was certain I was missing something. I still don't have my head wrapped around it.

It's normal. Every time you screw the pump back on, the fork looses pressure when the dead volume in the pump is filled up.

Have fun with those stupid air forks, boys. Sounds like a hassle to say the least. I will never buy a bike with air forks. ever

I have the WP AER forks and I just watched a video from WP. It states, that when you screw in the pump "Please Note that air will discharge into the pump and pressure will decrease". Sounds normal, from what I read, when you pump and it gives reading, that is what is in there, its when you re-connect the pump that air discharges, thus producing a different reading then before.

Don't get too hung up about it. Use the same pump, set your forks at the pressures you have tested and prefer.
Even if the pressure isn't exactly where you think it is, as long as you use the same pump, it doesn't matter.

Takes me less time than checking both tires, which is something I always do.

I just use the WP pump that came with my forks and it works.

I rode my 16 KX450 last friday, it was cloudy and cool in the morning and then warmed up so i checked a couple hours later when my hands and arms were hurting. I gained 12 pounds inner, outer srayed the same which is weird, and balance was less which is why the initial part of the stroke turned into a jack hammer!

I just picked up the adapter and in the garage it seems to work, screw it on the fork then the pump, set pressure, remove pump, then remove adapter... repeat.

I have a good setting for now that is awesome when i first start riding, however, i have a feeling these will be my last set of air forks. If the 18 KX450 doesnt come with spring forks im either going to do the RT Spring conversion or get a CRF which would be my first Honda since my 98 CR250!

I have one that I've connected to and use on my WP AER pump. The WP pump is already a no loss system. This just makes it a tons easier to connect and disconnect.
