It would be cool if they did qualifying times through the straight rhythm then had a two moto format for the mains. I doubt that is what they had in mind though.

I just hope they get the attendance and it works, Tasmania isn't a very big place and with the event being about 50kms from the nearest city of only about 85000 people, the chances of getting a huge crowd is slim.
Also, Tasmania is either a boat trip or Plane ride from mainland Australia and for some reason, people don't like making that trip.

It would make sense if they put it on when the v8 super cars are there and get that crowd as well but one of our local airlines are offering ridiculously cheap flights from major cities

Think the other issue will be getting high profile riders.

It is the weekend after the final round of the Australian SX Championship which will be the double header Sydney round (AUS-X OPEN)

Ryan Villopoto and Cooper Webb are racing in Sydney I doubt the promoter will be able to convince them to stay on unless he has deep pockets.

Will be interesting to see if any of the Aussie riders will race an extra weekend after their paid season is over. Also teams and manufactures here in Aus are not big on one off events that are not part of a championship especially for MX and SX. Hopefully enough prize money to entice riders.

Could be a few Aussies out of action as well!!!!

Ill see how my bank account looks, might pack the camera and head across for it, finally get to Tasmania!

Seriously, this is ridiculous. Straight Rhythm is dumb enough. The only thing that would make me watch is if they put a big Hot Wheel track loop in the middle of the track and a pit of crocodiles in each corner.
