Why they do not have a former pro vet class is beyond me ? I count 14 former pro riders that I know of entered in this class.

I was literally taking selfies and asking for autographs when I was on the line with some of these guys in '14, it's extremely humbling.

There has been nothing amateur about the vet classes at the amateur national for a while

Best of luck sir! My go pro made it about 150 yards before being covered. I had an early moto tuesday, noon on wednesday, then 9 AM Friday, so most races were very sloppy and didnt allow for good footage from a 29th place guy lol.

Barnett was the first to do it in 88. I lost respect for the guy,2 yrs retired and on a RH works bike. And,i never saw him do a regional. He'd pull 5 bikes on the start and lapped me in 4th one moto.

I just couldn't figure where he set the trophy, between the outdoor champion trophies?

I used mine in moto 1 and 3 last year. Moto 1 the angle was off and moto 3 got hit with some pretty good roost and it smeared across the camera. Didn't block the view just made a crazy glare. This year I'm going to reach up and wipe it off if I get a split second.

Chad ward, lol,he broke both his arms after trying to put a insane pass on me going down the stairsteps at MC on the start. I was twice his age, went to his pit and told him all he needed to do was chill and pass me when it spread out a bit. Dont think he learned.

I think it's a joke.

I rode plus 30 and was on the line with dudes who have qualified for multiple nationals. Proud to say I beat a few, but still didn't make it to the ranch with a 10th. Maybe next year.

What's also impressive, is a few of those +25ers are in the +40. Wow! Carsten, Povolony, Pamart, Holland.

News flash. Non of these riders make a living racing motocross. They are not professionals any more and some of them never were. They are Vet riders. Its an open skill class. The only requirement is over 25 years old and not a current pro. The Over 30 and Over 45 class does not allow any riders that have ever scored a point in AMA pro racing.

If you guys want to be a Vet alphabet champion, go to the Vet Championship at Glen Helen. You can be the Over 25 A-Z champion.

So tired of the winners every year complaining about this.

Zoom. What exactly do you think Stroup does for a living ? Renard ? I can keep going . I personally think it's kinda BS. But on the other hand it makes me feel good to know I have run with this guys .

They should make a vet pro class or make +25 a sportsman class.

In other news one of the biggest names on that list isn't racing....

Don't think this is anything new- I raced the +35 last year and the first nine guys made a living at some point racing a dirt bike- Tortelli, Reynard, Sheak, etc..

I don't see the issue either- proud of my result with all those guys in there!

This is not true! I know of an over 45 champ that scored several points in the late 80's early 90's
