When I had my 150sx I showed my wife some pictures of Scalvini cone pipe and told her how cool I thought they looked. After x-mas and I opened the present she got me (can't remember what it was) and told her it was nice. She said I know you really wanted that snail pipe but the shop at no idea what I was talking about! Tongue Women...

Yep i posted it in the hopes some lucky 05 on yz250 owners would be able to add something to their wishlist for their bike

Im sure they would make them for other bikes if people have the original to copy from and the bucks to make it happen

What is the beef with Bill's pipes? I've never heard of the brand before.

You'll end up talking to a guy named Motoman Pete. Great dude with fast service. I've never owned a pipe that actually fit better then the OEM pipe. I loved my Knarly pipe a lot , but the Scalvini makes it feel like a pop can compared to it. Extremely stout , fit's perfect and has even more bottom end ad mid range then the Knarly pipe. I swear it opens up on top a tad bit more too. I aint ever using anything else but the Scalvini's from here on out.

Jeffro.....what silencer are you running? The Scalvini Carbon shorty or a PC / FMF, shorty? Have you tried a PC combo w/ R304? If so, insight on the difference between the Scalvini.

My 06 RM is PC w/ R304...

Thanks
I'm using the fmf core 2...non shorty. The pipe itself creates a great bottom and mid range pull even without using a shorty silencer. I like the sound and power curve with the standard core 2. Good match on the RM.

Anyone who followed the GPs 2003, watching Pichon dicing with Everts riding his 450 (?) should get a stiffer by that pipe! I saw it in person and on the telly! Smile

I think the Bills pipe will actually look better, once it gets ridden with for awhile. I'd like to see a pic of one that has some time on it to see how it's looking. The "look" of the pipe is cool with me, the idea of it being "fake" doesn't make me all warm and fuzzy. But neither do the spoke skins on a couple of the bikes posted on here, it's just not for me. I'm sure there are things that I've done to my bikes that are questionable to others as well, we are all entitled to our own opinions. Either way, the Bills pipe will be a good running pipe, nothing "fake" about that !

I know where your coming from mate i have taken a lot of heat on the paintwork on yz250 (see my profile picture)

Personally i love it but it seems to be a bit of a marmite paint people either love it or hate, funny thing though not one person has disliked my paint IRL yet plenty have disliked it on forums strangely

I have to agree with you on the spoke skins absolutely hideous one of the worst mods ever if they are even worthy of being called a mod in the first place

Like you say though people all have their opinions i guess some people like spokes skins and they are entitled to that opinion even if the vast majority disagree with them

here's a link to the thread on thumpertalk about the tyga yz250 pipe Which started back in december 14.it's a bargain for the money imo,the stainless does'nt split apparently, but like all two smoke pipes they are vulnerable to crash damage (which can be repaired).cool.£315 for front pipe only in uk.

Honestly, don't have a clue...
You'd have to ask them.
But it can't be cheap.
Probably no more than a 4 stroke full Ti exhaust, though, I'd guess.

I like it.
Looks ten times less "fake" than the Tyga, IMO...
The welds look like they're hand painted.

Since stamped pipes work flawlessly and are way cheaper, what's a cone pipe's purpose anyway, except lookin like a "gay ass poser"?
