Who would do best on the GP circuit?

I have no dog in this fight, nor do I want to make one, just was wondering while typing.
Someone who can meld with the world riders ... ok eliminate Barcia because I just remembered his position on the deal.

I'm kinda leaning towards Bogle on this one.

While we 'Mericans would want a winner to blast everyone out of the water I'd be ok with a race winner to a top 5/10 rider as an ambassador to the sport. I think Justin could fit into the equation.

I guess what I'm saying is I'd like to see a few of our riders hit the world stage for a full season.

The current top guys are kinda no brainer picks, 450 class: Roczen / Dungey / Tomac..

Thinking a bit further, i'd love to see somebody like Bagget take a shot at it. The dude is a beast outdoors and i'm sure if he could get a year to acclimate he'd be a consistent top 5 rider!

When you say lifestyle change do you just mean adapting to the different cultures or jet setting to all the different countries? I really don't know much about MXGP, trying to learn though.

My opinion is based on their military like work ethic, wholesome up-bringing and humbleness. Anti-bling. They probably drive vehicles with rust on them and could care less. Do what ever it takes, no drama, no look at me attitude. Just my opinion.

Imo bogle would be a 15 to 20 guy in Mxgp

Any top 15 rider would give a pretty good account of themselves. It's only really when a rider is expected to win that anything but first place is seen as a failure, but to be able to win consistently on either side of the atlantic is a huge task.

I'd love to see some fast 250 guys come over, Plessinger would be a good fit. Pity Supercross dictates it won't be happening any time soon though.

obviously speed wise the top 5 or so ama riders would do well but i see more the willingness and enjoyment of traveling through the world and being able to realy embrace that lifestyle as the main 'issue'. barcia clearly loves it but i also could see webb growing into it. dungey and tomac are very very much connected with their families and I don't see them leaving them behind for such a period of time.

Tomac was crazy fast in Latvia and Teutschental. Baggett, Barcia, Dungey, Tomac, Webb would do good.

My money would be on Roczen and Musquin. I am afraid any US born riders, even Dungey, would havr similar results to those of RVs failed attempt. The National circuit is no comparison to traveling and competing on a world stage.

Of the US born riders I say Dungey for several reasons. Hes incredibly smooth and controlled and will adapt. He is very knowledgeable in bike setup, RVs downfall. He has a strong work. Hes drama free and that woll help him with the constant changing environment.


With all that said, he still wouldn't win his first year.

Webb and Tomac. I know that Barcia has had a rough couple of years but he seems to be very good every time he is racing in Europe, he could be really good.

My guess is that the one who would fit the most in MXGP would be the one that really wants to do it... I think Barcia and Tomac have this.
