I always love hearing what he has to say. Definitely one of the most insightful observers out there.

About the only past professional in the sport to have the balls to have an opinion about anything!

I actually like it when DV goes on his technical observations / rants on the podcasts.
DV should do a series of articles on technical aspects of bike setup.

He calls it as he sees it for sure! It is nice to read his unbiased stories, even if they area little tough on the delicate flowers that are pro MX'ers. He doesn't say anything that isn't true, he just says it without concern for people taking offense to his opinion.

DV is almost always correct in his observations. He doesn't draw a paycheck from moto so he will say whatever is on his mind.

When DV had his say regarding the Stewart-Musquin incident earlier this year people here seemed to be in mutual agreement that he was a nobody and/or just a french frenchy who have frenchy oppinions about french frenchings, and never had any insight about anything. Now it is the polar opposite... Vital confuses me sometimes. Sideways

Every topic/thread has a self-selecting sample of the Vital member base. A lot of times its just the vocal minority, but mostly it's just coincidental.

Naturally, but it happens frequently enough that I suspect (some) people are afraid to be in minority around here. Either you agree or you stay silent.

Enough of my topic hijack though, I too enjoyed the article.

David is almost always on point. I would always rather hear about a race from a guy who has been there and done that, rather than opinions from those that never have. He's not afraid to call it like he sees it.
