the pics of josh in the sx testing pit bits don't even look like him, says he lost around 35 pounds. looks like a totally different rider. If he gets some confidence going and stays injury free I think he could do really good this year.

also, since he's with L&M he probably won't be doing the outdoors. do you think that could hurt his career? make it more difficult to get signed by a factory team in the future that does both sx and outdoors?

I noticed in the Bercy video, his face looked a lot thinner. Todays pics confirmed that hes looking pretty trim. I too hardly recognized him on the bike. Good for him, for overcoming those minor issues.

If he's working hard it will pay off.

I don't think him not riding outdoors will hurt him in terms of signing with another Factory team in the future.

Who cares about riding for a factory team. 2010 is probably the last year of the factory teams anways.

That is fantastic.
His new nick name should be Slim Fast!
Or he should at least put that on the back of his pants for A1. Wink

Yeah man!

I think Josh Hill could have a good season. Still young and yet to reach his potential. The L&M team should be a great fit with JS1 as his teammate.

Hopefully he can get back to the form that saw him win minneapolis in what, 2008?

SX only shouldn't hurt his chances of a factory ride in the future. What would be the difference in support and equipment with a factory ride anyway?

Go Josh Hill!!!

Think about it...

You know he's got that whole "Natural-Talent" thing goin' for him...kinda like a certain French-Pain-n-th'-Ass from the ol' Team Honda days.

He CAN win SX mains...(Remember?)

He's shown Remarkable speed and on more than a few occasions has shown the ability to be the ONLY other person on the track to take those "Crazy-Lines" that James does.

Now, take all that and add:

1. Larry as a Mgr./Ass-Kicker.

2. His history of gettin' along with James (And practicing w/ him).

3. No J-Law around to Roll Rental Cars with.

4. No "easy-money" (Paid on results w/ VERY LITTLE base salary)

What'ya got?

A very Hungry and Fast kid from the Southern-Hills of Oregon that's gonna kick some ASS!

Josh will be just fine. If he can get top 5 starts like he did a lot of '08, he'll be fine.

Doesn't make too many mistakes and scratch '09; gets lots smokin' starts and he'll be fine in the lead pack.

Bet he top 5's season OA; don't care who else is moving up to the SX class.

I seen him in Bercy definitely lost some weight and seems like a nice pleasant guy... I was expecting him to be faster though. seems strange he is wasting his time on the 09 that won't help him in 2010 L&M are making some strange decisions lately.

I'm glad he's finally taking his training seriously .... but how can a PROFESSIONAL athlete who has been doing this since a young age, and getting paid a huge amount of $$$ to do so, be overweight by 35 pounds?

Who is managing or advising these guys?

well you can blame the employer as much as the manager, advisor, or rider.

Josh had one day of testing on the 2010 before leaving for Bercy.
