Bill Walters Leathers

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 6:34pm
How many people had Bill Walters leathers? My best friends mom worked at BW in Burbank in the 70's. They were awsome leathers.

Red with white stripes, came with a 75' Husky 250CR. Pretty funny to think about how pro's wear new gear once now, while a set of leathers lasted a season or more.

I had a pair of Red, White and Blue B&Ws with the big BW on the sides around 1974/75.
I remeber that I really trashed them riding at the Orlando Sports stadium one of those summers. Seems at every race the track looked more like a lake than a track and the leather got soaked each week.
Because of that, my next pair were a new set of Malcom Smith Nylon with leather on the sides only. I thought I was styling...both lightwieght and cooler in the summer.

I chose to forgo the BW and went with the red / white and blue Lancer leathers. Anyone remember those? Great pair of leathers. I did go with the Griffs after I out grew the Lancers.

It was 1976 afterall. I kept the red / white and blue colors for the rest of my career.

Don't know what brand they were because I got them used and I was happier than a pig in mud. Now I wonder what the hell I thinking why I was happy to get someone's ass smelling old pants

I had some in the late 70's, black and white to match my Suzuki West jersey. I still have the jersey around somewhere.
