I know it the first round, and all the talk is about the crash, but Reed was all over James, even when James passed him he didn't look bothered at all just ready to battle for 20 laps.

Where's R-acer and drag my knuckles, that was no 20sec run away. James got pressured into a mistake. No disrespecting here, just wondering if these guys are man enough to say they were wrong.

On a side note didn't James learn from Toronto, don't cut in front of Reed's line, he doesn't stop! Flame on.

Really nothing to flame about. Reed looks good and ready. Looking forward to a good season.

Yeah, you did not realize this before you posted the thread? The shit talk continues because of threads like this.

Props to Reed, he appears to be extremely prepared. More prepared than JS appeared to be last night. Not to say that things can't totally change next weekend.

Well the bottom line is Reed took it to him, he ran him down from third, had the fastest lap time by half a second, made up a shit load of point without a front brake.

And answered the question, yeah Reed has something for him and has it in spades!

16 races to go and JS has just spotted Reed 20 points right of the bat........Reed has to remain consistent the rest of the way and JS pretty much has to win every race to win the championship

Do not forget about Villo. He will at least get between Bubba and Reed.

I agree reed looked really good and smooth and JS looked to be trying his ass off.
But it can change as quick as that, I hope not be good to see them racing that close the whole year with Reed coming out on top in the end.

By Lil Dave's standard, Josh Grant is WAY better than Reed...Heck, he beat Reed with a Tuff Block wrapper in his rear wheel on a bike that bogs every jump.

He didnt have to ride without a front brake for 14 laps.

The night was a complete disaster for Bubba.

He was slower than Reed.

Reed got around him easily, and Bubba had to pull some really banzai moves to get back past him.

Even after that, Reed caught right up to him again. I bet he actually would've passed Bubba back at the end of those whoops, but they crashed in them first.

Reed looks better than he ever has on any 4-stroke with that Suzuki. James does not look to be getting along with the YZF as well and you could see him bitch about it to his mechanics all night long.

Who said that? Reed has won races every year. He just hasn't won a title when Bubba or RC were in the series.

That's a bold statement, how do you come to this conclusion? or is sarcasm?

Reed looked DAMN good and relentless. I think it was a bit of a shock to Bubba maybe? RV will stick a wheel in soon and maybe even KW or ?

Ive been telling some buddies of mine that Reed would at least be competitive this season.

I saw him race twice in the Aussie series here and he looked better that i had ever seen him.

I think the fact that he raced that series has a lot to do with how well he is prepared.

Here's hoping he can go on and win the series from here and maybe even make the Aussie series a legitimate option for some big name Americans to come over here and prepare next year.

It would make a lot of sense to ride the Aus SX series in preperation for the US stuff. Be so much cheaper and they'd get a great summer holiday out of it too!

Look whats its done for 22 & 122.

Even being a Stewart fan I have to admit Reed did look like he put his time in during the off-season and was ready to stick it to James at A1. However the anger in "Bubba's" face as he walked of the track makes me think he will be heading into Phoenix ready to do whatever it takes to beat CR. If RV can get a better start and keep it on two wheels I think this will be one of the best SX seasons in a long time.

Phoenix might be more epic than A1, If James looses two in a row the pressure mounts, he'll either win or take everyone out trying.

It different dirt, hard pack.

Go Chad Reed #1.

I think Reed has been able to run James pace for the last 2 years. I just don't think he can do it for the full 20 laps like James can (if he's off the groundSad ) . Its awesome to have Grant and Vilo in this class as well. James has his work cut out for him, and Chad does look good on the zook.

It should be a great year if no one gets hurt.

I think the time Reed put into the Aus SX helped him prepare for this years SX. Reminds me of DL on the Pro Circuit team. Didn't he just finish a series before riding the East lites that year?
