Hey guys,
Need some help...Got a new job that requires me to be at LAX within approx two hours. Is that possible from the Menifee/Temecula area? Also, looking' for a place to live! :D

Temecula to LAX will take every bit of 2 hours even in light traffic which is rare on the 91.

I have a friend in the Elevator Union who lives in the deep 9 but works in LA........and I sure as hell don't envy his daily commute.

On a sunday, 3 AM.

I would say West LA would be a better place to move.

I live less than 10 miles from LAX and at 4pm it could take two hours to get there <img class= " title="Laughing"> The South Bay area is close by and nice (pricey) and West LA too but the cheaper places near the airport are featured in rap videos, John Singleton movies, and leading news stories.

Get some Flatbillers, Black Dickie shorts, socks and shoes, and some Phat Tats and you will fit right in..... 8)

I'd rather live in Wisconsin than work and commute in the LA mess.

Make sure you have a huge ego before you move to California too. You'll fit in with 90% of the people there.

WOW so much hate for So Cal. <img class= " title="Laughing"> I lived in Menifee about five years ago...liked it than. OK seriously, what is the average driving time between the IE and LAX. Keep in mind most of my driving most likely won't be during the normal commute times.
If the IE is a no-go, then what city? I have to move so looking for my best option - within approx two hours of LAX.
THANKS

I haven't spent much time in Southern California in the last 10 years, but from the 3 trips I have made in the last 3 years I am amazed at how courteous the drivers are down there! Honestly, it's amazing how easy it is to get where you are going, other than the normal slowdowns.

I wish Seattle drivers were half as courteous as LA drivers seem to be.

Hey, I tried to help by taking one of your natives with me (moved to Colorado)...but then you keep leaving the southern gate open and turning it into Northern Mexico....

Man, I can't believe what a sh*thole that place is turning into. I lived there for 15 years and watched it decline...I've been gone for 10 and it's gotten exponentially worse!

If it's only you moving, move to OC beach cities. If you're married and have a family...stay away! <img class= " title="Laughing">

Thats North County SD and outside the two hour window.

The South Bay beaches are 10-15min from LAX but $$$ you can find a studio for about $1100. Try westsiderentals.com or craiglist the North OC beaches Seal Beach, Sunset, Huntington, and Newport are a little further maybe an hour in rush hour. There are alot of nicer areas around LA but it will cost you.

I'll pimp Rancho Cucamonga. Easily under the two hour mark. Under an hour away from almost every SoCal track.

Believe it, or not, down town Long Beach is becoming a nice little community.

Kind of like Fullerton, but bigger.

You need to talk to someone who knows the area before you choose a neighborhood, though. 8)

Speaking of Fullerton, there are a lot of reasonably priced rentals around the college and university, many of which will be vacant, come June.

Either one will put you within half an hour to an hour away from LAX, depending on what time you go.

You fuckers who dont live out here are all just jealous of us..Have you guys had any sun lately? <img class= " title="Laughing"> Hows that frozen Mx track treating you? <img class= " title="Laughing"> 85 degrees today ..Seriously though, I would look into Costa Mesa area or Newport beach/ Huntington beach area.. 909 would be pushing it for sure. The traffic sucks ass driving on the 91 all the way into LA.. Worm knows the drill <img class= " title="Wink"> Maybe even Capistrano beach or Hermosa..

Thats true LB is cool (some areas) Fullerton, Whittier (some parts) actually there are tons of areas grab a thomas guide or google maps <img class= " title="Laughing"> Hermosa is so close you could throw a rock to LAX. You could get there in 5 min without getting on the freeway.

If that means taking the 10 into town, no thanks![/quote:1l63jmgz]

210 to 134 to the 2 or the 405. If he is driving off hours, traffic isn't a problem even on the 10. I'm leaving at 4am on Friday to go to Santa Monica, takes around an hour.

People don't brandish weapons in Seattle like they do in LA.
