Saturday, March 22: Ricky Carmichael (2007 X Games 13 MotoX Gold Champion & 2007 Motocross of Nations Champion) 2pm[/quote:2u5d9jzp]
No mention of his multiple MX and SX championships, because no one knows or cares...XGames they know and anything involving "world" or a race of "nations" the public understands.

I give up, what should it tell us?
ding ding ding
it tells me that LN and the ama are useless as the stewards of this sport!

And this is new how?
Tells us situation normal.
Why would the general public care about a sport that goes through multi-year eras of guys who lap almost the whole field every race? That's not racing.

I disagree. Think about basketball it prospered when everyone watched Jordan and the Bulls dominate. Look at F1 it prospered when Schuemaker was killing everyone. How about golf, I think attendance is like 4 times higher when Tiger is at a tournament versus not and what he has done to golf tv ratings since coming on tour. I personally watched every televised Patriots game this year just to see if the streak would continue and I bet I wasn't alone in doing so.

It just means that the sport, as it is, it irrelevant. Motorcycle racing is still motorcycle racing.
TV has just been snubbing AMA races too much. Probably lots of politics there none of us ever hear about.

TV isnt "snubbing" anything....tv is screaming for "entertainment" and "the next nascar".....LV and the AMA have been crappy stewards of this sport. Holding it back in the name of profits and corporate ego-mania for themselves! Being profit driven they have not pushed to create entertainment, they have run moto so as not to break it but not so as to build it!
dingman is the first to prove he wasnt ego driven, by selling it off and admitting they were over their heads! the people who were punted from ama pro were probably the ones holding it back.

X Games (Number)13 as in the 13th one, I think
