I am moving out to a new job in San Francisco over the weekend, and I will have temporary accommodation in Palo alto while I get my family moved out.
so I am looking forward to riding new tracks in the area and meeting new moto heads.

Slipdog has helped me out with suggestions of tracks like 408, argyll etc. So look out for the 372 suzuki Smile

Hope you have a good time up here! You can also check out Club Moto in Livermore, as well as E Sreet, Riverfront, and MMX in Marysville, but those are a little bit of a drive for you. If you want to hit some trails, Carnegie and Hollister SVRA are both great after it rains, just call ahead of time and make sure they are aren't closed due to too much rain. Have fun man and I'll keep an eye out.

Used to burn a lot of pre-mix at Metcalf. Small place, but good variety and it was close to my house.

Welcome! I am in Los Gatos, close to PA. 408 will be your closest track, and its actually a neat little track that is well taken care of. Metcalf and Hollister are the next closest. You will need to register your bike to ride at those places, but not for 408. Clump moto is the next closest track to the Bay area and out in Livermore. Keep an eye out for the Garahan rentals at the Hollister GP track, which is only open when folks rent it. Its a cool track. Lots of private tracks out here as well, but most are a drive from SV.

I just moved back to NorCal with two young boys starting to ride. Do you know of any private tracks that are clubs you can pay to join. Used to be a member of the Marin county motorcycle club in the 90's, is there anything like that around the eastbay?

If you're free this saturday I suggest going to an open practice at Hollister Hills GP track. Its separate from the lower trails park and the track is badass. Only open for a day at a time once or so a month. Follow Brian Garrahan on IG of FB for updates. Welcome to the Zoo

Only one that I know local is the Los Gatos Motorcycle Club, but I dont know any of the guys or where they ride. I do know they bought a tract of land somewhere in the hills, but am not sure where. They have a website, but I have not looked at it in a few years. Lots of other good suggestions on this thread as well.
