He crashed on the start straight before the first turn. I saw him walk off the track, so I doubt he is injured. Prob be back next weekend.

Took him over a lap to get off track was sitting down in pain with medical crew.hurt his shoulder .

Looked like it was Canard that cut over a little on the start? Hard to tell who it was exactly, but it looked like a combination of Reed getting a little off balance to his right and Canard moving over to the inside. I rewound it a bunch of times to see who had hell to pay for cutting him off, but in reality it kind of looked like a combination of factors, really hoping he isn't hurt and can make a comeback next weekend. Still think he's going to pull off a win this year!

Btw, stellar job by the broadcast team giving us updates and a killer replay of what went down, well done bros. . .

He's actually had quite a few of those start straight handlebar lock crashes and go down... Seattle 09, MXDN 14, this one just off the top of my head. Two more I think also.

I was there in 09. Both went down HARD. Not as hard as the freestyle guy who OJ'd his ramp during an intermission though.

Looked like Canard moved Ove and took his front wheel out. No ones fault just wrong place wrong time.

I don't know what's going on with his starts but he's pulling wheelies off just about every start this year.

It's been a tough go for him more often than not lately, but he did set the bar pretty high to start things off this season.

As well as he qualified I expected better results but his heat race was pretty dismal and he seemed to give up after getting passed. Looked pretty good in the semi though.

Looked like Reed wheelied out of the gate, then the bike really hooked up and he rode into the back Canard who was checking up with the other guys inside, to get around the back of that bowl turn.
