Trey Canard to Kawasaki in 2017 ?

3/12/2016 9:16pm Edited Date/Time 3/12/2016 9:18pm
Seely hasn't signed anything yet. Word on the streets is that he's been offered a spot on a different team that would require him to train with his 2 team mates. I think you can figure the rest out..... Wink
Moving from the beach isn't high on his priority list, it'll be interesting to see what he decides to do.

The Roczen deal has been "done" for awhile now. I have a feeling the Canard to Kawi deal, might depend on Seely's decision.

well.... that sure is something.

Dollars talk though.... and as good as he's been, riding with those guys in florida could take him to another level.

Could also burn him out.

I don't think Seely and Aldon would jell...but that's just my opinion based on observation of Cole's personality & riding style. I think he'd be great on the KTM though. A Dungey, Musquin, & Seely team would be huge!

I like Canard on Honda...but maybe he needs to change it up a little to get his mojo back. Trey hasn't been himself in a long time, and maybe he'd really click with the Kawasaki 450 & a with Tomac as a teammate. Kawasaki needs a second rider on their team that's a potential podium guy just like Tomac...and that just ain't Will Hahn, or (I don't think) Josh Grant. That could be Trey Canard...who has beaten Eli Tomac on more than a few occasions.

Florida has 1300 miles of beaches. Not too many waves to surf in the gulf though. Maybe wind surfing...

I know I'm new to this place, but wouldn't Brayton be a good 2nd guy somewhere. I know he's getting a little older but has been damn consistent and 8th in points as of now..... Maybe I'm thinking too much of him?

I thought Seely's current contract expired in 2018?

The Fly-in-the-Ointment is going to be the KTM 450 Team, BTO and Kawasaki...all those Teams have open slots and will be shopping for riders...

So, go make your list of who's contract is up and where you think they're gonna go...

I don't see him riding really easy and loose on the honda. I do know he looks better on the suzuki than he did on the ktm and that suzuki has had a great comfortable platform that alot of the riders seem to like and why in past few years many privateers chose it in 450 class.

Must of been quite a few years ago, no one really rode a privateer Zook in 450 SX except for Alessi that I can recall....yet you see a lot of the others esp. KTM, Honda and Yamaha...not many Kawasaki's tho Sad

3/4's of these riders as privateers consistently made the 20 or now 22 man main events, don't believe me,look it up.
So when say 10 suzuki's make the 40 rider field out of 6 brands that isn't bad, just sayin

I can't see seely at bakers factory. just last season he mentioned how he is ok with taking a step back from training when he feels tired and that he feels it benefit him greatly to do so.

but then again, wilson is signed with ktm and does his own training with tyla.

Agreed. The only way he could be happy is if he could be winning with no pressure.

HA! Exactly like that. He all but called Dave and myself out last night. I sent RC a bill for the super effective motivational post. Maybe that's what CH's tweet about win on Saturday, lose on Sunday was about. I can tick people off a whole lot cheaper than Aldon.

He did do well at Glen Helen, but i believe thats his only podium outdoors in 3 years. Kinda like Josh but justin has stayed in the 250 class longer. Dont get me wrong, hills an awesome rider but if he doesnt win a title this year i think he should stay in the 250 class another year.

Nope, not an agent to him or any other rider although it sounds enticing. Just stating I think hed be a good second at kawi or the likes of another team, I know hes got a great gig going just thought I heard he was coming due for a new contract.

I hear what you're saying. Brayton is a good top 10 rider. I think BTO is a good team. If I were him I'd milk them BTO deal for as long as I could. They have factory KTM support and share info. Keep the train moving.
