If that is the case.... well it's ridiculous. And this sport/series is supposed to be professional?

If he is having immigration issues, from either country, its not the Supercross series fault. Its his fault. How long ago did he know he would be going to race in Toronto? A year?

I'm sorry, but how the hell do these ''managers'' allow this shit to happen!? Has he not been part of this team (whatever incarnation) for several years? There has been a Toronto round for several years. How is this shit not on someone's check list throughout the year?

What's his citizenship? Ecuador? I'm sure their consulate in Canada is already working on it.

Flew from Dublin to London & onto Calgary with my wife & kids (18) & (15) for Christmas 2015 & new year. Staying with friends 1st week skiing 2nd. We were questioned (felt like ever) I thought we were going to put on next flight back. We had to give name & address of friends we were staying with & show hotel confirmation for the 2nd week. Questioned about our transportation while in Canada. I tried to lighten the conversation a little but realised that was the wrong situation to crack a joke. The Mountie or police officer looked about 17, made me feel so insignificant.
Davalos I was going to suggest should fly to London then onto Canada but good luck to him if he tries.

had the same deal with Canada, and also, England and Heathrow, and into the US at LAX as well, when you are travelling with out a prearranged VISA you get it at times, but it beats having to get visa's before you go anywhere,

always make sure i have the address i am staying the first night handy,

On the bright side, it reduces his chance of having to race 450 next year.

Probably getting married changed his visa status. During visa/citizensip etc process you are not allowed to leave USA and those processes may last long. It seems possible that paperwork has been done ASAP like a year ago already but still waiting... Leaving the country is not the problem but trying to come back might get you in deep trouble. A friend of us got married to American, left the country and if tried to come back would have got like five years ban to come back to USA but luckily realized situation before trying to fly back and got it sorted out meanwhile staying outside of USA. Another friend has been stuck in USA more than a year waiting the process go through.

If so, that's a crock.

good question, I made the page after transworld put up their blurb about Martin possibly missing it. They have taken the article down now, so I'm hoping someone else may have heard something

What? His immigration status has nothing to do with the professionalism of the sport.

Jimmies were almost rustled.

Conspiracy time. I think Davalos is just playing mind games and is going to let the rest of the pack think they have to worry about one less guy they need to beat to get on the box. Then boom, shows up in Toronto and everyone poops their pants and DNS.

When I was 13 or 14 I jokingly said aloud "They didn't find it" after walking through the scanner (stupid thing to say, but 13 year old boys don't say many smart things)

I didn't get cavity searched, but Jesus Christ that was the last time I will make a joke at an airport.

FELD, you want a chase format so bad why not put Davalos in the West and make him and Webb tied in points? Problem solved! It is the same concept as resetting the points!

I say FU*K the chase!

Marteen and CP377 OUT this weekend:

ROCKSTAR ENERGY HUSQVARNA FACTORY RACING’S CHRISTOPHE POURCEL AND MARTIN DAVALOS WILL NOT RACE TORONTO SUPERCROSS

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Christophe Pourcel sustained an injury in practice earlier this week which will require him to remain side-lined for seven to ten days. Pourcel will return to racing at the Detroit Supercross and continue to strive for the podium.

Teammate Martin Davalos unfortunately will not race the upcoming Toronto Supercross due to personal reasons. Davalos, who won the opening round of the 250SX East series and fought for the podium this past weekend in Daytona, has shown he is a serious contender for the title. The current red-plate holder will return for the Detroit Supercross in hopes of continuing his chase for the 250 East Supercross Championship.
