I don't know about you guys but after his pre-race interview I was so pumped when he grabbed the holeshot and lead most of the race. He was a man on a mission that's for sure. He may not of made it on the podium but he ran one helluva race last night. I see a promising future for Malcom.

Knowing I like the Stew's, I received a text from a friend who claimed that Mookie was disrespectful to miss Jenny in the pre race interview.. "how could he do this"..

What did you think… I might be blinded by his awesomeness!

I'm wondering like, WTF are they doing interviewing riders on the start gate anyway, they are trying to focus. What kind of real info happens there anyhow? "I feel great, a win in my heat race was awesome… my team blah blah blah is beside me"…. who cares, start the race.

Sorry for the rant! lol

He will be good and I really like him but fitness is defiantly fading late in the race.
I am a MS fan and wish nothing but the best for him.

Mookie is too big to race the 250f. Looks like me on my yz250. He needs a 450

Not to mention right before the gate dropped they were talking about how nobody who was running. The number 50 has ever won Daytona. Don't know if that was on tv , but I heard it loud and clear at the track.

I hope you mean more successful from here on out, because there is no chance Mookie is going to come anywhere near the level of dominance Bubba had.

Are you saying Mookie will win 50+ races and 3 or more titles on a 450? He will have an outdoor title as well plus win every moto?

I think because James didn't quite live up to the expectations we all had we forget how great he still was, regardless of who you're a fan of.

James is/was one of the rare talents that regardless of bike etc, he jumped right in and contended for wins. There was no adjustment period other then learning how to manage a series which Imo he never fully learned

He showed last week he has the fitness. I think James issue messed with his head too much last night, hard to see how it wouldn't. Malcolm is at his best when he's having fun.

I'm sure James' get off killed Malcolm's mental game. He's definitely improved on the bike regardless. I can't wait to see him on the big bikes.
I thought it was a boner move for Jenny to go interview on the line.

He said in his interview on the gate that he was worried about his brother and wants to win for him but the dude looked super worried

My thoughts, unless you know something we don't your brother is fine he's in good hands worry about yourself.. I mean I get it I've got an older brother that I spend a lot of time with but I reckon James would hate to think his crash affected his brothers race

Maybe my family is a little colder than the Stewart's haha

Yes, Jenny is just improvising out there. She makes the decisions, and decided to do the first pre-race interview ever.Blink

He did, but if he would of been better at managing a series he would have won it more

yeah and last week when MS pulled a powerful wheelie holeshot everyone was saying how many ponies it has and also saying how slim he looked, judging by comments in this thread the opposite is true this week...vital peeps contradict each other all the time

More successful really? Multiple championships and 50 sx wins and what 2nd on all time wins list? Malcom only has 1 win on the small bike and no titles. I know hes big for a 250 but to say hes going to be more successful then james on a 450 is just crazy.

Malcolm blew it. He had the win and choked. First to 4th at the end. He's no rookie. He's been in 250F class awhile. Not sure why you want to praise him.

No way. James maybe on the down side of his career but when he was on he was it. Malcolm will be good but James was great.

He made a couple of mistakes in the beginning, gathered himself and rode really well up until lap 14.

He had the fucking two time MX champ breathing down his neck all race and made a couple of mistakes and got passed.

Yeah not the perfect ride but shit better than ending up on the ground.

It is a valid point. This is the weakest point of James' legacy. Look at 2009. James was utterly dominant. Yet after the 14th race of the season, he was 5 points behind, despite winning 10 of 14 races. He would have won many many more championships with a more strategic approach to the entire campaign.

After the interview I have more respect than ever for Malcom. It was obvious he was concerned about his brother. It was great to see him ride that hard! I am no James Stewart fan but Malcom is growing on me more and more. Showed me he isn't self centered. Family first!

If Malcolm can't get his thoughts off of his brothers sorrows, then he will never be as good as his brother. Has anyone ever heard James say "oh man I hope I do ok this race, I'm just worried about my lil bro after his crash". No.
