I bet when Dungeys career is over, he ends up 2nd on the all times list just behind RC.

I think he's somewhere between 50 and 60 nationals and SX combined. Quite a bit of work to do to catch MC and Stewart.

Dungy has 12 250SX wins, 26 450SX wins, 7 250MX and 38 450 MX wins. 83 total.

RC has 12, 48, 26 and 76 wins. 162 total

JS has 18, 50, 28 and 20 wins. 116 total.

MC has 13, 72, 2 and 15 wins. 102 total.

RV 11, 41, 19 and 12 wins. 83 total.

CR has 6, 44, 1 and 10 wins. 61 total.

So if RD continues at same level than last year, it will be before the end of 2018 SX when he passes JS for second in total wins (unless JS starts taking more wins too)

Not in the same time frame. Being a great racer can be measured many ways but each accomplishment can stand on its own. Tracks change competition changes and the bikes change.

125/250 SX regional wins/titles are not counted on any official all time lists which actually brings Dungey closer to Stewart as far as wins are concerned.

He better hurry the hell up, because he's only got this year and next to do it. seems like wishful thinking.

When it comes to SX its Mc 7 championships RC 5 Championships and RV 4 in a row. Wins are great but championships are what matter. I bet Stewart and Reed would give up all of their wins for 1 more SX championship. I see dungey passing RC's total championships but I think RC's wins are safe.

This is as dumb as the Dungey missing his Suzuki thread. Congrats!

RC, JM, RV will always be above Dungey.

Dungey has raced an entire year and (almost) half of a year in SX to just now equal RV's total wins, and he has not matched the number of titles yet. Not to mention, Dungey never beat RV for a title in a series that RV completed.

Just in case you didn't know, Ricky has 15 National and SX Championships. Also retired from professional racing at 26 years old. Same age as Dungey right now. Dungey has 6.

I agree with most of what you said, but you went way out there at the end. Stewart never beat RC for a title in any series that RC completed. Does that take away from his titles? No of course not, there were plenty of other competition.

I'm too lazy to figure it out but Dungey has to be top of the list with the fewest DNF's due to crashing. Has he ever hit the dirt? It's amazing to have that kind of speed and be under control 99% of the time? I think he is a sure bet to overtake Stewart but RC is a little out of reach

Stewart beat RC in the 2006 World SX Championship which was 18 rounds if I remember correctly.

Hello fanboy! You're an idiot. Dungey won the SX title as a rookie, and RV crashed out while trying to catch him. Christ, RV himself gives Dungey more credit than most of you fanboy idiots! RV was awesome, but so is Dungey. Give credit where it's due. And....maybe think objectively for at least a second before blurting out something as ridiculous as you do on here. Just sayin...

You go girl!

RV had as many wins as Dungey that year he got hurt too, which was like six rounds from the end. Objectively, RV was better that year also. Without the crash, it's possible (even probable) RV would've went 5 straight.

It's easy to forget about that and just how impressive RC's career really was.

Objectively it was his rookie year and he won the title. Think on that one.

The 2006 Daytona supercross, which RC won, did not count in the "World Supercross" standings that year but did count in the normal AMA Supercross Series. Having them both pretend to be co-champions at Vegas that year was the dumbest moment in our sport's history. Ricky was the supercross champion in 2006.

Regardless, there were 17 total World Supercross rounds, and there are 17 rounds now. Stewart beat RC in that championship, and Ricky was pissed both times that Stewart beat him in Canada. People like to act like just because the series didn't start in California it wasn't important. Stewart ended up 2 points behind Stewart in the AMA standings, has anybody else done that after 2001?

Post a reply to: I bet when Dungeys career is over, he ends up 2nd on the all times list just behind RC.
