Pauliemon, thanks for adding those pics. The 76 RC's with the external spring forks are the bikes that sucked me in as a kid. Those massive fork boots and all that red just left an impression.

Thanks for those photos! 78 RC500 race photos are few and far between. Interesting on Smiths bike with spring shocks it appears as if the swing arm is also quite different.
