So let's hear some funny Mike Craig stories!
I agree, this is interesting to read, so please continue to reply, every time you tell us a little more.. I have noticed Mike hasn't aged that well, some of what you guys shared pretty much explains that.
I got one.
Palm Ave. 1993? maybe 94? I was an 80cc kid and Mike would let me tag along to go riding. We got to Palm avenue and it was pretty much a dream come true for an 80cc kid with the names that were present doing motos and testing. It was my job to stay off the main track they were riding. It eventually went into play riding and cliff jumps.
Being a little guy on a bike that Mikes dad helped my mom get through a trade in at Team Green, the rule my mom had was basically no cliff jumps, no breaking my bike trying to "show off". If any of you have ever been to Palm Ave back in the day it was a dream riding area but it was VERY challenging to even get to some of the jumps. Big Canyons. It was super hard packed but some of the hillclimbs were super silty at the bottom.
Anyways, I am somewhere in the middle of the line of riders going from one jump to the next and it is SUPER dusty. We are hitting the switchbacks and can hardly see. I am riding about 4 levels above my head just trying to keep up, I come around a blind corner and see Mike and another rider pulled off to the side, right when I have thought of "why are they stopped?" BAM!!!! I t-bone a mexican immigrant running across the trail like a deer trying to sneak into the states. This poor guy is gasping for air and I am scared shitless. Mike dumps his bike and runs over and picks mine up. Broken front brake lever. I'm bummed. scared and nearly in tears because my bike is in scratched and broken. Mike and the others are laughing hysterically. looking back.... It was very funny. This poor mexican was trying to get out of the way and everyone stops. Not me.
We pick my bike up, radiator shroud bent, front fender scraped bad, broken lever and continue, eventually making our way to the next cliff jump, where I would stop and just watch.
In between jumps and while we are sitting there the discussion happens to shift towards me. Mike proceeds to tell all the pros that he is training me and sponsoring me and that I can "easily" do the cliff jump they are doing. I feel this lump in my throat. I had NEVER done a cliff jump, let alone this beast they were doing. He proceeds to tell me to start my bike and do it. I argue back I can't. He gets pissed, he just told everyone he was training me and I am so good I can do it easily. I blame my bike, not wanting to further damage it, my mom, parts.. .every excuse possible. He is not having any of it. in front of everyone he pressures me hard. In front of all my El Cajon heroes he nearly has me in tears.
I put my goggles on, start my bike and make a few runs at the cliff, stopping every time at the bottom. No way. I can't do it. Mike proceeds to start his bike and ride over to me. Im in tears now and he says. 3rd gear, wide open, stay right at the bottom and instructs me all the way to the top. I tell him I can't. He tells me my bike wont go in his truck at the end of the day and I will sleep with the mexicans if I don't.
I turn around, Mike rides me to where my start mark is, repeats what to do and I take off, shifting gears and shitting my pants. I still think my eyes were closed at take off, but I was right, 3rd gear, pinned. The next thing I remember is all my heroes cheering, arms raised and making me feel like the baddest dude ever. I ride way around and finally get down and back. Mike and everyone smiling ear to ear. Mike says "I thought there was no way you were gonna make it". I was the hero. Part of the guys. On the way home he stopped at his dads' house and asks him to fix my plastics and bars and lever from the crashes of the day. We leave my bike there.
Not all Mike Craig stories are bad.

I hope your high horse feels really good, though. It must feel good to throw scripture at someone. And no, I don't drive under the influence. You seem to have made a lot of assumptions based on my post.
Make sure you draw some lines with that stone logic, otherwise you'll be excusing Stalin.
I got a kick out the dude quoting scripture, nothing like quoting a fictional novel to help us with our "sins"
Just to be clear, I don't mean that as accusatory, just curious.
Mike rented an RV. When he parked it at the spot, he hooked up the fresh water (hose) to the wrong input and proceeded to fill the shitter, which filled the toilet, which eventually filled the RV with water while we were at dinner.
Anyone remember that movie "Jumanji'? remember when they open the door and the water comes bursting out from the inside of the house after the monsoon?
Yup. that happened.
COOL FACT- Eve didn't exist yet when God gave the divine commandment to not eat of the tree. She was created later.
We must ASSUME that Adam told her about it, because it's not in the bible anywhere that God told her about it.
COOL FACT #2- When the serpent asks Eve about the rules of the tree and sin, she ADDS rules to the divine commandment given from God, all of which she didn't exist to hear.
"But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." God never said that part I highlighted.
To me if ALL SIN comes from this story, she should have at least existed to hear the rules, and she should know them properly.

As for the other guy, I just thought it was hypocritical to say it's alright to lambaste Craig for some immoral actions 25 years ago when the guy was young and dumb, that they have no actual 1st hand knowledge of only rumour, and remind some that there own actions are just as immoral as per the virtues I posted. I may be wrong about this guy and I may have interrupted him wrongly and I'm very sorry if I am, and in fact he is Jesus incarnate, but to think it's fine for the dirty linen to come out 25 years later because of immoral actions when the guy has clearly turned it around and trying to repent, just fucking shits me. I'm not adding another post or view to this shit storm till it's hidden from public view. I know from personal experience this whole thing will send anyone with personal issues they're doing their best to overcome, straight back down the drain again and most probably back on the bottle or whatever.
I also don't believe you'll see a good performance from CC this weekend. Hope your all happy now righteous mother fuckers and "I know something really bad about Mike but I'm just going to hint about it instead" cause I'm a spineless cunt who wants to big note themselves.
Some cant be told because this isnt the place.
I will say this...I never saw Mike do any drugs or even drink, but about a few years after Joanna we rarely spoke.
So from that point I dont know about all the stories.
Id hear stuff about Mike and think damn, that's not the Mike I know. I heard alot of horror stories though.
And whoever said Mike never trained...thats bullshit. I'd see him running or his truck at the gym at random times.
I think being so lean left him with no reserves making people think he didnt train.
Also hed be out riding in the hills on a 105 degree summer day....for the hell of it.
Usually a Baked blue grooved g out squared edged rim bending holes on hill tracks
