Jake is one of the most likable guys out there and I'm really happy that he is off to a great start. I feel like his deal with the Tedders helped foster a more comfortable atmosphere where he could just focus on showing people what he could do. The RCH deal is going to be another high pressure situation - where he is expected to do well. I just hope he rises to the occasion and doesn't let the pressure get to him.

Personally I was looking forward to seeing him get the better of Wil all season...not that I dislike Wil, but just to get some jabs at Kawi.

No he hasn't.
Considering he finished 8th OA last season and placed as high as 4th, I'd say that's a marked improvement. Most nights he was in the top 10.

Here are his results from the 2015 season.

8th, 12th, 5th, DNF, DNF, 9th, 6th, 4th, 10th, 7th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 6th, 10th

And if we're comparing him to Weimer, which I'm a fan of Weimer, but if we're talking about how they finished, here are Weimer's 2015 results.

9th, 11th, 17th, 11th, 15th, 15th, 15th, 20th, 20th, 10th, DNF, DNF, DNF, DNF, DNF

So yes, he Tickle has improved slightly. . .

Wasn't there something said about the possibility of RCH keeping a 3rd rider on after Tickle returns? Or am I crazy? I swear somewhere that was said.

Of course a while back I also though someone had said Mitch was going to take over the Kawi 450 program...damn voices in my head.....

I was talking about the sidelined part. When he has been hurt?

Weimer is staying on for the rest of SX so they will have 3 guys when Tickle returns.

Congrats to Jake. Had a chance to talk to him with Doc Bodnar at Glen Helen and he was just a really mellow, down to earth guy. Most riders just answer questions, but Jake actually had a conversation. Wish him luck!

Really am stoked for Weimer, hope this is the next step in a big turn around for him, he's had it rough since the last half of 2010 really... Time for good things!

It is a good move for RCH, it confirms they are a big powerhouse.

I'm stoked for him, think how good his life is right now, newly married, new baby, healthy, a few promising results and a new ride. About time he had some good luck, let's hope it rolls on!
Spot on but I don't know how long it will take him to get up to speed. Seems to me like he will be doing a lot of testing on race day. I'd like to see him do well, I too think he still has it in him.

From Jakes interview on TWMX, "That was in my deal last year. If I were approached by a factory team or something then I would go for it. To be completely honest, though, I never actually signed a contract this year. It was never brought up and it never happened, so I wasn’t worried about it or anything like that. This year I didn’t have a contract with them, but last year I did. It’s always hard to break that kind of news to the people that have been so great and helping you, but they were good with it."

Team Tedder seems like a class act. Glad for Weimer. Little bummed for Tedder that they are losing him.

Yep. I remember when he came here to Vital for Q&A. I was so impressed with him. He reminded me of my own sons. I told him he had gained a new fan, and I meant it and have been pulling for him every race. I'm happy for him, and hope this leads to some podiums and more.

I wonder if they originally wanted him to just fill in for 5-6 weeks until Broc returned and he negotiated to stay on for the rest of the season. This seems like a unique fill-in rider situation with those conditions.

I hope he does well. Great opportunity to ride for RCH.

How do you think Ricky will like seeing the seven gear under his tent?

indeed.... overall, I don't think RC has much of an issue with JS7, unless I missed something.....

I want to hear why they passed on Grant and if they even considered it....but its cool they are giving Jake a shake at it....he is out working and Grant is at home "waiting"....that says a lot right there.. I had thought Grant had a rep for not putting in the work and even Reed was bummed.....

On pulp this week, watson stated that Weimer was the first choice and no one else was contacted. He said JG hasn't been riding supercross and Weimer was their first choice.
