Idk if I ever have seen them announce attendance on their website with attendance that low. If they are racing in a 40,000 seat stadium then it should be sold out.

It will be interesting to see how full it is for San Diego 2. Everyone guessed ATL 2 would be more full compared to ATL 1 but I don't think it turned out that way.
We have tickets to Vegas...our first SX after years of attending MX. For MX, we go first thing in morning and watch all practices and qualifying and then the races. We skip the pits and such. Cant you do that in SX as well...i.e. when do they open the gates?
Last year they finally gave us TWO races.....but they put them back to back. wtf were they thinking. I mean I love me some supercross, but that was just stupid. If they would have spread it out by a few races or so the second race wouldn't have been a bust on attendance...it was still better than the attendance of this years san diego race though.

San Diego is the best city of the opening rounds and if you are on vacation book a hotel within walking distance of Petco park.
I used to be able to go to the LA/anaheim/san diego supercross for less than $40. That was gas and my ticket. That wasn't two or three decades ago either.
My girl and I were planning all week on going to the san diego round because she works every other weekend. Missed anaheim 1. Ok so we sat down and decided to figure out what it was going to cost us to go:
2 tickets, club seating. $30 each x 2 = $60.
Ticket master $35 service fee charge per ticket. $70.
We are now at $130 just for two tickets.
Parking? $30.We are now at $160.
Wait there's more. Pit passes not included with ticket purchase. $10 per ticket. x 2.
$180. Tank of gas to get there and back. $ 50. Now at $230. Two beers, one for each of us. $20.
So for $250 we can go watch supercross live, and have one beer. Plus go cruise the pits, see no riders. Get a ticket, and wait in line for three hours for an autograph from a rider, only to be told the rider isn't giving autographs any more sorry folks.
Solution? We went to a nice dinner, came home and drank ice cold beer of our choice. Had the best seats in the house, weren't cold, and I got to immediately go to bed, knock one out, and fall asleep. No traffic, no dealing with the public, saved money, was comfortable, didnt get beer spilled on me by the flatbiller the row above me.
Sorry Supercross, you have officially priced yourself out of the sport. Nobody wants to spend that much money, to deal with that much bullshit, to have a mediocre time.
The second thing is I go to MLB, NBA, NHL, college football (Clemson games mostly) and NASCAR races every year. None of them come close to the excitement of supercross in the Georgia Dome. I will always pay to see supercross live. Tv doesn't even come close to doing it justice. Not to mention $60 for a club seat is as cheap as it gets to see a major sporting event in a major stadium.
We should be thanking FELD for keeping prices as low as they are. Same people complaining about prices want riders to be paid more. Well like an old A.D once said at an SEC school. "You can't want to compete at a national level but only want to pay Conference USA prices.
If a KTM and a Husky were exactly the sand bike at the same price, I'd buy the Husky.
