When I used to flag at an indoor place in northeast Ohio I've seen people do that except go through the wall clean to the outside of the building. That door kept her inside. I hope she's ok! What a ride. Cold (forearms) x (arm pump) = hwiskey throttle ?

She said she broke 4 vertebrae in her back (based on her instagram post). Crash looked terrible.

Damn. What a get off. Reminded me of how lucky Reedy was landing softly after the Chadapult at Millville.

Hope she's ok soon.

I ran an AX track for 4yrs......seen plenty of those. I had everything from guys just getting up and walking away , to one of them , the guy died. One of the two deaths I had in there. The other one was an old friend of mine who had an aneurysm. The one that died was a young kid about 22-25yrs old and had broken his leg so bad it severed the artery in his leg when his femur broke. I sat there for 20 mins holding up the fence while the paramedics worked on him and he died on the way to the hospital. One of the worst moto days I've ever had. I hope that girl is ok!

Damn Jeffro! That is tough to read and can not imagine how tough that was on you. I almost bled out when I hit the tractor back in 04 and the only reason I am here is because there just happened to be a dr at the track that day as his son was racing the following Sunday. He rushed over to the scene and literally put his thumb inside the hole in my knee where I had punctured the artery and would have most likely never made it until the helicopter arrived. Especially seeing as they went to Ponca first before arriving at Cooperland!

The femoral artery is no joke...we just had a class that went through that was taught by some top surgeons and flight nurses...this is one of the main areas of practice was stopping to flow of a ruptured femoral artery

A few years back a world cup level downhill mtb racer crashed and severed that artery. He plugged the artery with his own fingers and then had his mate put all his weight on it to try and stem the bleeding and managed to do so until the chopper arrived and he survived. They got the whole thing on his mates gopro, I posted it a few years back. It's a bit graphic but worth a watch, you never know when you or a friend may end up in that situation and it could save someones life. The irony is that it's a pretty pathetic front end wash out but it nearly killed him. Someone commented in the thread that someone they knew crashed and died because they bled out under their pants and no one realised. It's a scary thing for sure!
