Did anybody notice Webb's look back at Nelson and show him the iron fist over the triple that put Cooper in the lead. Man this kid is awesome to watch, his style reminds me of a young Stewart; he has a nice straight back form and raw fast style.

I don't know the exact gang sign he threw but I definitely think it was a "oh you thought you were bad huh" gesture

Cooper does so much goofy shit it's hilarious. I have some mutual friends from where he grew up and I guess he's always been a little character. I think he's good for the sport. We need more personality and flare.

I typically lean toward the Dungey, and the Canard types...but I sure like Webb. I like his attitude, and I love his riding style...just fun to watch.

With Webb, there's also a lot of room for a Damon Bradshaw comparison. Either way Cooper is not only fast but unique. Can't wait for him to hit 450s.

When a rider can be that aware and loose, it means going fast is slow to him!

He does do some goofy stuff that's funny. I remember him slapping the camera a few times with the #1 plate when they would get a close up. It is great to see someone enjoy playing the game with their own style.

He looks awesome. I think the best thing I've seen out of him yet was watching him roll up to staging at Red Bud with a cigarette in his mouth and lining up next to him with the cigarette still in his mouth. That was funny

One of our guys there, Mark Lester, snapped this shot of the pass. Not sure what Webb was doing , but I think there was some kind of celebratory hand gesture.

Webb's a badass. Can't wait to see him in the 450 class. I think his rookie year will be one of the best we've ever seen.

Yup, if he gets through this season unscathed he is going to hurt a lot of feelings next season on a 450.

Next season? Wait til Atlanta when he catches 'em sleeping.

It's great comparing new hotshots to former pros but with Cooper Webb, he's his own. We haven't seen a Cooper Webb before.

Oh I hear ya, it is just that I have been watching since the seventies and Hannah is the closest comparison imho. Totally agree that Webb is very unique and he has quickly become my new favorite rider.

I thought Webb was trying to apologize from the aggressive pass causing Nelson to have to double instead of triple. I could have it wrong though.

I'm going riding tomorrow. Maybe someday I'll be half of the big motocross stud you are. I can only hope.

Webb keeps his feet on the pegs. Hannah's feet were normally flailing all over the place, rarely touched the pegs.

Very true! I swear he had McCarty duct tape his throttle hand in place because it never seemed to let go!

I agree, I can't help but think about his cornering technique. Ever notice his mid corner speed is very "Patient"? I have noticed his entry speed is fast, but he really concentrates on the exit of corners and executing the sections perfectly from that. His confidence allows him to be patient, but aggressive. Very fun to watch...

Hannah should have rode bulls. He never let go.

I think the Suzuki guys did tape Darrell Shultz hand to the throttle one race.

Why did he feel the need to do it though? He already made up 6 seconds and passed for the lead. What point are you trying to make? As far as I'm aware Nelson didn't do anything other than lead the race, just makes him look like a bit of a dick in my opinion
