It sounds like they were riding it way up on the pipe. Is that where the motor is tuned? My CR5 likes to lug a bit through the rough stuff, then rev down a long straight. I'm sure they are riding much faster than I am. Just sounds like they are riding it like a 250. Is your bike ported and such for the top end power? Sure looks sweet. Who made the rear suspension cam. Is that available to the public? Thanks.

MX Tech makes the rear link.


The black thing on the side of the head is just
a small decomp valve.
Its attached to a small (hot start) lever at the clutch perch.

The 500 is easy to start, but it takles a good solid kick.
The decomp is nice and just slows the wear on your right boots sole Wink

Looks like that thing turns on a dime and gives nine cents change. He kept under steering in those flat wide turns.

AJ, this one probably has the decompression scallops bored out of the stock cylinder? They always seemed to run smoother after that. That sure is a beauty and sounds great!

MXA needs to learn some video skills from Vital, plus they needed a better rider. That bike is the ultimate, though. Sweet!

I don't even know where to buy MXA anymore.

I'm not sure what you guys are watching..... That thing sounds like it's right on song, pulls strong from what I could tell. You have to remember that the big CR has no power valve like a KX500 to move the power down low so needs to be worked like that, that practice start put a smile on my face just watching that video.

That sound is what Moto is... was. I am still not fully receptive to a 4 banger sound on a MX track. They sound awesome... But they don't sound "Moto" IMHO.

Man that sure makes me want to ride again. Always rode open class machinery. Tried 250's a couple of times but always came back to the big bores. Mind says yes body has other ideas...

It sounds like the rider in the video is trying to ride it like a 250 two stroke. Nothings wrong with bike, that's for sure.
