Good one!

I expect Jason Anderson and Blake Baggett to surprise and run up front. Jason is now on Dungey's 15 bike, and supposedly Baggett has invested everything in a killer training compound.

Actually I would consider Tomac getting top 3 a huge surprise considering how long he has been back on the bike, and new bike with new team etc.

Biggest surprise is three pages and not one mention of James Stewart in 2016! What happened to all the JS7 nut huggers saying James was going to come back from his suspension and lay roost on everyone!

Chad Reed not getting a deal and this will be his farewell retirement year. Or he does sign a deal and after a few disappointing results he announces his retirement.

pourcel and musquin winning races and being championship contenders will probably surprise a few people

both of them are going to be awesome to watch on 450s in supercross!!

I don't have a dog in this fight, but... maybe they got tired of logging on to Vital and encountering guys like yourself?

Tomac will not be a surprise to me, I think he is gonna put a beat down on the field!

Barcia is gonna be the surprise rider this year in my book. I think he is gonna be up to speed.

Totally conceivable. Just wondering how Moose is doing (recovery) after his hand/wrist surgery, haven't heard much about it. If he's healthy, I think he could win the title. Anderson just keeps getting faster, and I think he loves the new Husky, he's just got to get some consistency with his starts. He was all over the board last year.

I'd be surprised if dungey still celebrates musquins wins as he did last season and still calls him 'mon amie' after round 5.

you've got to think that after having the wrist fixed, it will only be better than last year- which is a frightening thought for his competition....

I think musquin will suit the big bike really well, and his supercross skills/ starts are usually on point. Both of the Frenchman will be title contenders next year- both incredibly technical on the bike, its gona be so good to see them in the mix!

That would be amazing. And truly one of the few "surprises" that I can imagine.

If Tomac, Barcia, Roczen, Anderson, and even Baggett won, I wouldn't be entirely surprised.

I think a win from Brayton, Pieck or even Millsaps would be a surprise. Not that they can't do it, just that they aren't the expected guys for the year.

Plus. if Brayton wins, my new jersey will be worth more.

Be cool is Brayton won A1 and we had that feel-good moment like 2013 when Milsaps won.

JS7 = 0 wins in 2016. That is my surprise of the SX season.

The chances of JS7 winning a few races is high. But i feel like he could crash out or just not be good enough after the one year suspension.

If I knew it wouldn't be a surprise. And most real surprises end up being better than my guesses. I hope the surprises are good ones.

I'd be surprised if Stewart isn't out by round 4

I'm gonna say Blake Baggett is going to be a contender. He's been riding his ass off with Roczen which will only make Blake faster.

I'll also venture WP makes the podium a few times this season and steals everyone's wife, girlfriend and dog doing it. Rumor has it a wink from WP could make even Chuck Norris pregnant.

Cole Seely will win a few races.

It sounds like Dungey will surprise everyone here with another title. He put all the pieces together last year and will be hard to beat throughout the season this year.

K-Roc and ET will be fighting over wins, Canard, Sealy, Barcia and Anderson will be successful with a win and several podiums, Reed and Stewart might get lucky but will find each other for some epic battles this season and Dungey will be Dungey on the podium every weekend.

Web and Ciancurillo will be fun to watch, it will be cool to see if Pieck can get a win and Bowers will piss a bunch of guys off.

Will Mitch go another year without a Title? That may be the biggest surprise for me.
