Cole was looking great last year.
Did you not get the point of the thread?

Me too.
'Factory guy wins race' isnt a surprise... but yeah i hope Seely delivers whats expected.

I dont see anyone doing a 'Peick' this year , but i am going to say that a fit Broc Tickle will podium more than once.

WP will continue to improve...perhaps getting a podium. Tomac will not crash out, and ends up with 5+ wins, but still can not take the title...

The only way Barcia wins is with a holeshot. He can not come from behind because the only way he can pass is by stuffing people, which is risky and costs you time.
Stew....who the F knows. I would not be surprised if he won 5 races. I would not be surprised if he pulls out by round 3.
Reed...similar to Stew. I would not be surprised if we won some...I would not be surprised if he was a non-factor and retired at seasons end.
I dont see Marvin having a huge impact. Wilbur beat him for the title a few years back. How has Wil done in the 450s...? 450s are tough. Pretty much everyone has a 250 championship under their belt.
I will be surpirsed if Trey makes it all the way though the season without some spectacular get offs.

I'd be pretty surprised if AC completes the season without some form of injury playing a part in his results.

Biggest surprise?
Biggest surprise would be some of you idiots passing a drug test after reading some of your posts.

Tomac, Tomac, and Tomac.
Look out. If this kid stays on two wheels he will be THE guy to beat.
Stamp it foo.

Baggett and Wilson both have titles in the 250 class.

And Craig is racing the 250 class, not 450.

Ummmm...No.

No.

Pourcel might win 1 but I doubt it.
Millsaps might win 1 but I doubt it.
Tickle could get a podium but I doubt it.
Tomac is really, really good. He might take a year to acclimate because he's been slow to get used to things in the past. But then he's JS7 like with his ridiculous speed, indoors and out. You're nuts.

Pretty much everyone that is a threat for the title has won a 250 championship of some sort...

Lites (250/125) Champions (SX East, SX West, MX) in the 450 class:
1 Dungey
2 Stew
3 Canard
4 Anderson
5 Bogle
6 Musquin
7 KRoc
8 Tomac
9 Barcia
10 Tickle
11 Weimer
12 Pourcel
13 Hahn
14 Reed
15 Wilson
16 Bagget

That is 16 guys with 250 titles. There are how many riders in a Main? This is why the 450 class is damn tough. Of the guys without a title, only Seeley and Brayton are legitimate threats. Seeley was a title contender in the 250s...and Brayton has a lot of AX experience. Maybe WP, but he is a one of a kind story. Hence my comment..."most everyone has a 250 title". That is pretty much the requirement for a decent ride in the 450s. It is the reason Mookie is still on a 250.

If "most guys having 250 titles" is " the dumbest thing" you have read in a while, it is apparent you don't read much.

Many of the guys your list will be lucky to make mains. That will only get tougher when Webb moves up.

This on Tomac. When he was dialed in in SX, his speed was on another level. He does well on micky mouse tracks with shorter straights and lower speeds. He can just OJ and bash stuff, and his physical fitness is too much for other riders to hang with. It aint pretty...but its fast.

What's crazy to me is that the top 15 is an all-star list of incredibly fast, capable riders that could ALL conceivably podium........ and yet one of the riders on that list of 15 will, indeed, end up in 15th place. The pressure is going to be debilitating for many of those riders.

Canard stays healthy and is a huge threat for the championship. Millsaps might podium but win? Odds are against it. MM and Bagget are the surprises in the class. Tomac is fast but Dungey still wins.

JMart is a title threat

Are you high? Go back and watch San Diego from last year and tell me that kid wasn't riding on rails. Hell, he wasn't even putting his feet down in the last 180* corner for most of the race.

Me: "Tomac is fast, but not pretty"

You: "Are you high...he is fast"

What are you trying to say?...because your comment really makes little sense relative to what I wrote. I have never heard anyone argue that Tomac has a really beautiful style...I have heard many people argue the opposite.

IMO Tomac's style in Glen Helen this year was somewhat beautiful.. Also i like his aggression and how he rides on the pegs so much both indoors and out.

I think Baggett will surprise with some consistent top5 with few podiums.

Do y'all really think MM won't win a race? Yeah he's a little dude but he was so buttery smooth all last year. It almost looked like he was riding a 450 sometimes. Plus he has Dungey and Decoster on his team...

I know it's not a championship.. but didnt M. Alessi loose a championship to Hanson in a tiebreaker? Or am I misremembering?

The biggest surprise of this season will be Dungey losing his consistency (and the title).

He might have looked that way on TV, but anyone who goes to the races knows that MM runs the absolute dogshit out of a bike. It makes you wonder how they hold together. Don't know if I've ever seen someone run a 250 that hard.

I havent ridden a 2016 CRF450 but rode a highly modified one in 2015 and now have a 2016 KXF450, difficult to compare a stock bike to a very high performance modified one but handling wise, flickability, and weight bias the KXF is more 'honda-like/ktm-like' ....in my opinion. I am surprised the magazine shootouts thus far dont seem to like the KXF as much as I thought. I am about to embark on hopping up the KXF now.

In any case you could win on any brand at the end of the day.

I was meaning factory bike vs factory bike but ya, good feedback.
