If you want to build something like that, the single thumpers are much easier to deal with. Like TT500 or SR500. I build a CB400 then realized how much 4 carbs and 4 pipes suck. So I went to a Triumph 650, then some smaller thumpers...

I know what you're talking about with four different carbs to sync and clean. Originally I was going to do a v-twin Virago, but it seemed like it would be a lot more work to make one of those look good compared to a cb750.

I dove deep today. Full rough move and took it down to the frame. I'm going to weld on a steering stabilizer tab as well as skid plate tabs then get everything painted. Doing some coatings on the primary. We're all in boys! When I get the frame back I'll update with pictures from a real camera.

Haha! Thanks man. It's come a long way since I got it off Craig's list. Lots of scotch brite and elbow grease. I need to make a build thread for it.

General maintenance for these babies. Probably going to build a nice A60 wheelset for the two smoke, maybe go with a works pipe.....but I don't know if I want the added upkeep.

I just started moving into my first house, so I have a feeling that is going to take up my winter....and then some.

take your swing arm, linkage, everything apart and grease it. I have 17 hours on mine and I am just now getting around to it. It was terrible. There were already signs of corrosion.

Let's hear more about those blue bombers? Suspension? Motors? Those things look ridiculous. Only thing I would change would be a raw pipe. Absolutely impeccable man!

F* off those YZs looks nice! Good job. I will just go and dig a hole in the ground for my bike now.

Got a ride planned this Sunday and then maybe Nov 21 and that's it. It's almost sled season here in PA.

My YZ450 is gonna get stripped and cleaned. New chain and sprockets. Pulling out swing arm and linkage. New wheel bearings. Grease the hell out of everything.

New Cyrca white powerflow plastics. Decal Works kit with gray, white and blue highlights. Hopefully new black A60 rims with silver spokes and blue hubs. Maybe a new FMF muffler as mine has taken some abuse. New Thor gear for the goon on the back.

Started to tear down my 2014 for a fresh new build up this winter. Mostly just refresh everything but have some new mods and goodies in mind.

2001 yz250. Bikes pretty tight for its age. Not sure what I'm doing to it yet. Maybe sss fork swap. Found a complete set of Acerbis orange plastic to start with.

Here's where I'm at. Suspension just got rebuilt. Everything is greased. Bearings are replaced. Time to start putting the major stuff back together.

And yes. That is a spongebob toy assisting in holding my rear brake lever out of the way.

I wouldn't call mine a full rebuild but its had many parts taken apart, inspected, cleaned, and put back together. At this point I need number plates/ decals, fresh oil, and I want to look into different tires. The MS3(back) is pretty well used and the M403(front) is extremely hard. Finally Id like to get some different levers. Clutch pull is very hard on this bike with a Tusk clutch. I really wanted to find some 14-16 graphics that fit the 09 but no one seems to make them.
