Helping my brother finish his 1986 Suz gamma 500....
Finishing my 82 RM 250, just about done, likely going to fire it up this friday. Which means I"lll be on the lookout for something else to tinker with....
Couple different kinds of scotch-brite pads and some soapy water. There is a less dense pad that leaves deeper cuts and a more dense pad that creates a more shiny appearance. I used the dense pad on the rims, the kick stater, brad pedal and shift lever. The coarse pad was used on the frame, sub-frame and swingarm
From what I've been told and understand this bike is fairly rare......I was contacted through a 3rd party several years ago about making a donation to the Greeves museum ........
If I puck up a used 250 2 stroke or project 125, the current 125 will get a new clutch and bearings, and maybe a few odds and ends, and the new bike will be the main focus with a full top and bottom end rebuild, bearings, rebuild the carb, and some odds and ends.
And if I get a freshy, Itll get plastics, hand guards, graphics and exhaust.

However we suffered a massive top end failure in august (split barrel and broke power valves) so it's getting torn down again. Putting a 92' barrel and head on along with a 97 PWK Carb... can't wait for the results!
This is my '06 450. I quit racing (and actively riding) in 2012, but had a 2009 and 2011 KX450 prior to, and then purchased a 2012 KX450 to see if I could get back into it in 2013. After riding those beastly fuel-injected machines, the carbureted 2006 Yamaha leaves a bit to be desired. I have all the pats to do a top end and clutch change, just need to do it. I'd also like to put a pipe on it, get it rejetted with a PowerNow Valve and a Boyesen Quickshot and a few other misc. pieces. She has brand new rubber, sure would love to match the rear shoe with a red front one.
This is a 2003 KX125 that I picked up a few months back for $400. The gentleman that was selling it took it in on a trade and didn't know much about it, other than it wasn't running. To be honest, it needed/needs more work than I anticipated. The bottom end is good and I put a new top end in it and had the cylinder done by Millennium. It still needs all sort of stuff, including reeds and fork/shock rebuild. Surely it's only a few $100 away from being a running machine, but it's on the backburner for now.
This is the real project. It's a 1999 YZ250 that a co-worker's husband was going to "put out on the curb." It had been sitting in his garage, blown up with no cylinder on it, for nearly 2 years. I had a mechanic friend do the top and bottom end, just need to go pick up the motor, and then it'll be a complete rebuild. I plan to P/C the frame orange and the swinger black and then getting a custom set of graphics that "blend" MC's Bud Light graphics from his YZ and KTM. I think this thing will be awesome once it's done.
