I'm not much of a betting man, but I'll give odds on NO.

As of right now, it seems like Suzuki is the stagnant brand among the Jap bikes. I have no clue about the rumor here but they need to do something.

Not sure steel is the answer. I'd put money on things like R&D and teams.

I am a suzuki guy, but they have a long way to go to catch up with the competition, let alone surpass them.

If the bike looses 10 lbs, and gains 10 hp, will it be close to the ktm? ????

Yep, those Suzuki 450s are junk. They only won the Red Bull Straight Rhythm, the MEC, and finished first and second overall in the Japanese MX series over the last three weekends Unsure

In the way it's the heaviest 2016 by a long way compared with the Ktm and kawi, plus it's way down on power to all but honda.

I own a 2015 rmz450, I don't see many improvement in 2016, and I know it's short comings.

But as Lance Armstrong once said, it's not about the bike. Smile

The biggest Suzuki rumor right now is Townley riding MX1 for the factory team...

Hope they don't change too much with the zook, if all I have to do is oversize rotor, suspension, a think seat, full titanium exhaust and a remap I'm happy with that. Those mods make the rmz a weapon! Plus you can take all that stuff bike to bike

I cant believe suzuki hasnt had a major update for us general consumers. I mean, how am I supposed to win a local D class race on that slow heavy piece of shit? I need at least 60 horsepower to be competitive

If the RM-Z450 lost 4-5 lbs, gained 2 HP, a 270mm front rotor and re-styled their graphics, the magazine guys would all be jizzing their jeans about how great the bike is. The fact is, other than being a bit overweight, the bike is not that far off right now. I just hope they dont buy into the whole "mass centralization theme" and screw up the handling.

IMO the only real problem with RMZs is the outrageous prices in OEM parts. The bikes otherwise are killer.

Not the RMZ's. Only the new RM two strokes.

Rumor is new bikes in 2017 and they are also trying to get back into the amateur market. They picked up a few national caliber kids for 2016 through a Cernic's Racing amateur deal with a promis of the a new RM 85 for 2017.

The current RMZ is a little dated but they had a great platform to start with. It's still a very competitive bike.

I just got a nice used 14' 450 with the suspension already fixed and an fmf pipe. It has some other little stuff too, but the bike is pretty damn good. If it lost about 7-8 pounds it would beShocked .

Talking with my local bike shop about 3 months ago, they actually did say that their is a push to get the rm 250 back onto the showroom floor. Obviously its a far cry but its not out of the question.

My 15 450 is the best bike I've ever had. I love it so much it has turned me into a 'brand loyalist'.

Haven't you heard, they are heavy slow ass pigs. Total junk.

No wonder you are so slow.

I think if the Suzuki dropped a few lbs and found some more hp & tq it would be a real contender. I actually like the body styling. Reminds me of my 2003 125 I had.
