LOVE my PS4, moving from the 360 to it was the best gaming decision i've made, besides not blowing up Megaton

I'm pumped. Can finally throw away the xbox360 when this comes out.
Do the right thing Georgie, get a ps4. Think of the kids.
No way man. Bought a Xbox one off some college kid for $200 with couple controllers, one game and charge station. Had original receipts. Can't justify spending a ton of money on gaming consoles. Although I love the Xbox one. Basically use it for everything. It's awesome.

Sling tv. The whole 9. I don't mind paying the Xbox live sub. You can find them for 26/yr on slickdeals.

Hard to imagine they can substantially improve the first person perspective but if they do this game will continue to be the GOAT for motocross video game fun factor for the foreseeable future.

first person is the only way to play MXGP and it was nearly perfect in that aspect. cornering in first person takes skill and it's more about going slower to go faster. awesome game

MXSimulator is a dying game(because a horrible/selfish community). I took 15 months off MXS and "returned" and the game was exactly the same. The only difference was that some of the content creators had got some crazy idea and started charging a lot of money for models/skins even tracks.

Checkerz(Chris from Race Tech) is one of the few top creators in MXS that understands that a game like MXS will not develop if content creators start charging money for content. Donations are the right way to do it.

I REALLY hope Milestone takes a leap forward with MXGP2. The first MXGP game was a really good first MX game(i won't count MUD) for them.
I think its a joke that jlv who created mx sim hasnt done hardly anything in 8 years to the game graphics are awful and its up to the general public to sort it out for him. He makes the money and just sits back and watches. For anyone says yes but hes a one man band etc i have seen one man bands turn their first release into something amazing by spending a bit of money on a graphic designer

He is more than willing to hit me up and I'll model or skin anything he wants.

So whats the problem then if he is willing and you are willing?

Also, you know that you could model things without his permission right?

i give jlv a lot of credit. he had a lot of thought that went into this game. The reason why its still going 8 yrs later is because of how much and how well he built the original game. I have no problem with him setting back and letting the community do the rest, great model. very robust community for so long because of it.

you probably one of the types that don't mind paying for DLC tracks/gear/bikes on console right? cause thats a better option right?

For sure, the best first-person experience in any console (moto) game.

How amazing is it going to be to FINALLY have a 1 to 1 replica of Glen Helen on a console game? Something that SHOULD have done years ago by Rainbow is finally being done by Milestone. That speaks volumes for Milestone and really shows how poor the Rainbow series has been in not obtaining rights to do replicas.
9/19/2015 5:46pm
Rainbow had been real limited on budgets. The whole thq fiasco. Etc. all is possible with money. And nobody buys mx games. Not a first person shooter market, therefore less budget.

I agree, but the way I understand it is Milestone just needs a license from MXGP because they own the rights to everything within their series. Obtaining a license under the MXGP "umbrella" gives Milestone licensing rights for all the teams, riders, sponsors, tracks, etc and anything involved with their series. Basically one licensing contract in exchange for one check for $X. With an AMA MX game, you would need to obtain a seperate license from each track, each team, each rider, each sponsor, etc, which not only would be expensive, but would be a major pain in the ass because most companies are going to want exclusivity rights; i.e. Monster Energy agrees to be in the game, but there will be no Red Bull KTMs or Rockstar Huskies. I may be wrong, but that's the way I remember hearing it.

I don't think that will run it. Theres a free demo on Steam that you can try though to make sure.

Well this news got me excited this evening. MXGP sure wasn't the super TOP game but casual it was very fun. And past years even some people have created MODS for it for the PC version with newer skins and more competitive AI so it sure has been a blast.

All is up to the game studio now, from MUD THE GAME to MXGP they improved massively, if they can repeat this improvement on MXGP2 it will be one of the best mx games we've ever seen.

Ofcourse we can wait for the game still rockin mx-sim. New Monster Energy Cup track and MXON tracks are comming up in the near future so that'll be fun Smile
Bingo.

Milestone has shown they not only can improve the game, but make massive leaps forward. MUD to MXGP was very refreshing.

Whereas Rainbow had one of the most massive regressions in gaming history with Reflex to whatever it was that replaced it (Ive blacked this game out of my memory).

But now comes the hard part for Milestone. Theyve set the bar and fans are expecting further great improvements. Dropping the ball here would be very bad.

Here's what I want to see out of the game:

- more track deformation (REFLEX!)
- a real and usable clutch
- allow me to play with my bike settings EVERY race WITHOUT having to re-load them
- allow for customizable bikes (with real aftermarket parts & graphics kits)
- The AI was easy, but if they added rider injuries to the game, it'd force us all to slow down and race with less reckless abandon
- allow some sort of function for managing fatigue, riding to the limit, then having to slow down to not risk crashing or injury as physics become more difficult as track degrades & fatigue sets in
- in the air physics need to be improved, scrubbing needs some tweaking
- the starts need to be fixed, make it a art, not just pin it and the gate drops
- add weather, mud on the screen, & tear offs
- add classic/legendary tracks & riders/teams/bikes as DLC
- add current year teams/riders & tracks as DLC
- build upon bike customizing settings and the personalization/effect it has on the track
- allow for whips at the finish line

Notice I didnt list graphics improvements or entire game engine re-writes? None are needed. Just some subtle tweeks and increased content. Dont mess with the flashy things like the UI or anything that didnt need fixing that wasnt broken.
Add to the actual GAME not the

If they get just 60% of my suggestions right, they will have hit a home run and we will be looking forward to MXGP 3.

Please Milestone, just dont take a step backwards. Please dont. There was so much they got right with MXGP 2. Just build on it.

For all the grief Luongo takes (most is deserved) the way he's got the branding set up (the way u described it) is way better for the game/sport as a whole. Big picture thinking.
