not on the same level? simpson was running 3rd in mx1 and held Barcia off for the full race until he was taken out by a backmarker (and he also set a faster lap) anstie was running 3rd just behind martin and musquin until his bike blew up and he got landed on!

how is that not on the same level? france are heavy favourites, but both max and shaun have proven they are right on the pace. Just had terrible luck again! hopefully shauns injury isn't too bad, and deano can put a solid result in! just be about personal glory for those 2 now with anstie broken arm!!!

got to feel sorry for max, not his first mechanical dnf this year, but to get injured badly aswel this time. Bet he cant wait to be on a better team next year!
Do you know why I say so , because of the results of England received from mdxn the past 20 years as a team. They are for sure good riders, sure i am not denying that. But i do believe barcia is better than Shaun simpson overall, and Anstie was suppose to be the guy but he never made it, Searle and Dean have proven themself more. But in the end GBR have had some mishaps or bad luck call it what you want? I just have my own opinion about GBR being a tad behind france, usa, belgium.

Herlings, Ferrandis, Tixier, Tonkov & Petrov are all out injured, Gajser, Guillord and a few others are riding 450's.

Musquin and Martin racing whats left of the MX2 class is comparable to Vladimir Kitscko fighting a visually impaired, paraplegic 90 year old.

^^ (The crash pic) He's lucky to get away with what he did, could've been fatal. Just horrible, it's a fast jump too.

yeah and jeffro knows , but the fact he has got to use a French rider to make a highlight out of this day for the AMA and USA does tell me something Laughing Laughing Laughing
I friggin' dig Marvin.....he's an AMA rider , and if anyone beats Jeremy , I hope it's him. Obviously want USA to win , but I'm cheering for all the AMA riders , no matter where they are from.

Didn't take long for this to get to AMA vs MXGP argument. Can't we all enjoy the damn racing?!

Only Herlings would have something for those two and quite possibly it would be the back of his jersey...

I think Simpson on the factory prepped machine would prove to be on a similar level as Barcia over the course of a season.

This race sucks in that the USA is only allowed (at least according to vital) to cheer on 3 riders, while all non-USA residents can cheer for the other 35 riders in each race, and talk mad shit when any of those riders beat an American (even if it isn't from their country). We get it, you have something to prove, get on with it so we can all just enjoy a badass weekend of badass racers battling.

Factory prepped machine ? He have been racing on a full factory all season long but okeey.. he is good but i dont see him on the same level as the top lads over in europe or for that matter in america. But i did change my opinion about him as a person, he seem to be a good dude and down to earth!

Simpson has only been riding a factory bike since Unadilla.

If Shaun is ok for tomorrow, we automatically get 40 points for Anstie being out, last year Germany got 72 and still finished 5th. So a top 5 isn't out of the question.. Unsure

Don't forget that it's the 450cc motor that "only a handful of riders can handle" that is the cause of all the injuries...
