I guess you think this way because you're spoiled with good tracks, most of the places I ride are worse than that and we have to travel quite a while to even get to them.

I dont know what you dont understand. That shit in the video isnt even dirt its hard as concrete and slick as ice. Theres no ruts no berms, ive seen better back yard tracks with weeds and shit than that p.o.s track. If i was a pro and they invited me to ride that junk I would be pissed, i mean I would still do it but fuck that.

There you have it folks. This ninja fuck thinks disced, watered, black dirt tracks (rocks removed of course) is motocross. Merica seems to have forgotten about Saddleback, Carlsbad, etc. Hell even Red Bud was a hard pack track for many years. I love riding burned out, concrete hard, dusty blue groove. It's like a completely different sport from what the US National tracks are like.
Yeah whatever buddy, thats why all the pros hate california, the ground fucking sucks. You old california natives think moto is racing on a fucking concrete dustbowl in 1977 get with the times buddy. I aint sayin they need to groom a track all day but at least till it a half a inch and throw some fuckin water down.

Well yeah....they all gotta ride it , but I'll bet every single one of the guys on the gate wish they had a nice loamy track to ride on. Instead of that shit hole. I hope the actual race track is better than that. You would think for a big race like this , they would prep the damn thing so the guys could dig in a little. I think we should of sent Bubba Shobert , Chris Carr and Jay Springsteen! sheeesh.
Exactly, you guys act like the riders dont like a tilled and watered track, they will go faster on that as well.

wow, so many people crying because others said it's a shit track. No one said it wasn't a motocross track.

It just happens to be a shit motocross track. That's all.

Hard pack, marbles on top of it. Dry, dusty....

Your typical middle of the week shit track. If you race long enough you spend a lot of time on tracks like that.

It can't be sunshine and rainbows all the time. Tongue

A disturbingly high percentage of Americans are whinny pussies when it comes to tracks that require throttle control, National Pros included.

I remember the year that Budds Creek held the MXDN. When they held the National there earlier in the year it was hard pack. RC threw a fit in post race interviews. I was embarresed for him and his whiny criticism. Meanwhile Viilopoto, who won convincingly in the 250 class on the day said. "whats the big deal? I thought it was fine"

I like RV.

Here are some recent pictures of the ACTUAL MXdN track at Ernee.

Hopefully Campaigners for the 'Perfectly Groomed, Watered and Harrowed Motocross Track Society' can chill out a little. Smile

To me that looks pretty sick , if they keep the moisture on it there shouldn't be much to complain about. Every track doesn't have to be tilled a foot deep

This track pictures and the track that Web and Martin had to practice on are not even in the same ball park as far as prep goes. That track was shit. Hard pack with marbles on top. Really not even that fun to ride and you could tell by their attitude on the bike. They did what they needed to do and that was warm the bikes up. There was no interest in doing a practice moto on that track.

These track pics look good so far!

The track that Martin and Webb are riding on is dangerous as shit. One mistake and you'll impale yourself on that nightmare fence that is lining the track. The amount of you that complained about the yellow track markers as well as the Utah track that now are supporting that crummy practice track proves some of you just want to argue.

(I'm pretty sure I've had to point out the same thing before the last three MXdNs when people moaned about practice tracks)
Well , I for one knew it wasn't the track they would be racing on , I just commented on the fact that , " That " specific track looked like a shit hole. Actually the track itself looked good , but the dirt looked like a dusty , gravel logging road. The pic you put up of the actual race track look much , much better.

Are you guys ready for the race this weekend? I wasn't really all that stoked about it until this past week or so. I'm chewin' at my finger nails now haha.

Yeah, that RC guy sucks at throttle control. That guy can't ride hard pack track for shit. RV needs to teach that RC guy how to control his throttle properly. Yeah bro, you tell those damn Merican's how it is.

It's a no win for USA so I've lost my interest in it a bit.

We win and its because our country is to big, but if we only podium we've somehow lost our edge.

Being proud of the boys is patriotic and that's not cool in the 909 anymore so we get the group of ding dongs that say dumb stuff like, "Bet you've never traveled the globe" even though I've probably seen more of the world than they have.... in about a week, win or only podium, everyone will be sick of each other.

You mean it's a no win for the USA unless they win, in which case you can brag about how much better they are than those slow Euros.

You've probably just lost interest because they haven't been winning.

Get ready for a narrow ass track with picket fences around the perimeter. The problem I have with these tracks is that hard packed without berms makes passing is a bitch. You can't rail a rut or berm around alternate lines and everyone tends to stay on the inside. That, and Ernee looks narrow as shit. I think starts will be 75% of the race and that sucks for the fans regardless of who wins,

I don't come on here and brag when we win. I believe in being humble in victory.
I just don't see why we shouldn't be proud if America "only" podiums. That's better than 99% of the world.

Hey guys, wasn't it Argentina that had a really nice track we saw this year? I think that was a new one on the schedule , but that looked like it would be a great venue for an MXoN's race.

Same!

I was always planning to go over to France this year, as far as foreign races go Ernee is one of the more convenient tracks to get to for me, but when riders started dropping out my enthusiasm slowly ebbed away and I couldn't justify the costs. But now it's here Im actually really looking forward to watching it and kinda wish I'd made the effort now. I know a few people who have made the trip over.

As far as predictions go, Im finding it hard to see past a victory for the US to be honest, it will be intriguing to see how they gel with the track but I just don't think there'll be enough riders capable of taking points off them. The starts are going to be extra critical because the track is hard to pass on - which bodes very well for Webb if he gets off the line as well as he did at Glen Helen!

It's more about who can pay for the MXDN and put up with the shady dealings of YS as apposed to what track is best fitted for the race.

My hope is that Francs will clean house and Marvin Musquin and team will dedicate the win to his brother who has a long battle ahead of him. I think that would be the coolest story.

Yeah I think the starts are going to mean a lot for this race. It should be some great racing either way. And the crowds there are usually pretty damn awesome , which is really cool to see. And I wasn't all that interested in this race for the same reasons. So many guys out injured or are coming into this event with an injury and we may not see them at their full potential. Good luck to your team this year brother!

Throttle control may well be where the emphasis lies, this place looks fine to me, Ernee is better too

Glen Helen has to be the worst possible start disadvantage imo,if you're clean through the 1st turn that 1st uphill alone will gain you 5-10 seconds on the pack

I'm not making a comparison about who can and cannot ride hardpack.

Im making a comparison between a winner who whined about it and a winner who didnt whine about it.

In fact Im wondering if the reason that all the US tracks shoot for the same racing surface isnt a byproduct of someone like RC complaining? And now...ITS JUST FASHIONABLE to bitch about anything but deep loam.
