It's became more recent times that Chad Reed is riding what looks like a monster energy yamaha. But I can't imagine monster and kawasaki departing. Can someone shed some light on this? Haven't seen an updated thread in a while...

Unless ML512 or GuyB respond, I'd take anything other people post with a grain of salt.

I keep hearing a rumor that Kawasaki and Monster are parting ways. But I'd like to see what GuyB Mathes or ML512 have to say

Reed blue and Monster
Rinaldi Yamaha back with Monster. Febvre helmet got more majority Monster as well especially this weekend I don't seem to remember him having such dominant monster helmet graphics before
A few Yamaha road race teams are monster sponsored as well.

I would say a departure sounds most likely but I don't know who Kawasaki would go with? "Surge"? Grinning Grinning Grinning

Why do they need a drink sponsor? Honda had gone a few years without one...... and if Kawi has the cash to cover the 1 or 2 million then go for it. The major thing with Monster and Kawi is the PC team which is almost completely funded by Kawi and Monster from what I've gathered..... and a monster split could drastically cut back on the PC budget

Don't Reed & Febvre just have Monster painted helmets meaning a personal sponsorship? I didn't see any Monster graphics or logos on this bike.

For motocross thats still a Kawasaki deal; USA Team Kawasaki, Pro Circuit Kawasaki, KRT Europe, CLS Kawasaki, ETC.

Maybe they could possibly use a vitamin water sponsor? You're right it doesn't have to be an energy drink

From what I understand, we'll be seeing a lot of the green claw next year. It should be on the Factory Kawasaki bikes, PC bikes, Star Racing, and Reed/Factory Yamaha. In Europe; KRT, CLS, DRT (all three kawi teams), and Rinaldi Yamaha

Rumor is that in 2016 the sport will be called Monstercross (tm)

Reed's Yamaha is his own personal stock bike (he said it was a loaner), he doesn't have a signed contract with any manufacturer, so I assume he can put whatever logo on the bike he wants.

From one of his Instagram posts: "I don't have a SX bike just a stock loaned bike..."

Personal stock bike with a Hinson engine, aftermarket header, and KYB suspension?

I don't know what all he has on it (or doesn't), but I do always get a chuckle when a guy calls a bike "stock, with yada, yada, yada bolted on" haha. I get it, it's not anywhere close to factory. But it's not "stock" when that's the case.

You guys know the routine for riders on "new bikes".

Interviews at Monster Cup will go like this "well I didn't have a bike or know what bike I'd be riding for 2016 and I've only been on this bike for 8 minutes, it's stock and not even broken in so we'll see how the night goes".

Monster must have put up a lot of money to get Star Racing from Rocstar.

I saw some TrueValue logos on the TV broadcasts during SX, I think it was the TrueValue Pass of the Race

Kind of a random thought, but, I occasionally buy the low-carb monsters in the morning and I have noticed that they are out of stock. I wonder if they are trying to move the product off the shelf to re-introduce it with a slightly new color/brand that will match up with Yamaha a little better. According to ML512, they seem to be heavily invested in Yamaha (and Kawasaki) this coming year.

We have a bunch of true values in PA. Pretty cool if they are the main sponsor. We need more of a variety of outside sponsors rather than just energy drinks.

I have a Pabst Blue Ribbon sticker on the side of my bike. Does that mean I'm now sponsor by them?!?!

Wow. That's a lot of dough to be coughing up. Cool to see a company so into moto. Not surprised though because I believe it was last fall Coca-Cola bought a majority share in Monster so there is now some even bigger money backing the green claw than there was.
