USGP practice

Wow they're much closer than I thought. I thought Anderson and Grant would destroy everyone at least on saturday.
Gonna be a hell of a race tomorrow both MXGP and MX2
9/19/2015 2:00pm
Wilson, Webb, Febvre, Anderson, Musquin, Grant, Paulin, Bobryshev, Nagl and Simpson for the top 10.

Team france looking good in the USA!! But at least cooper is looking good. I got a feeling he may be faster that Barcia on race day. I just hope he keeps his nerves in check.

Very warm and sunny, track is smooth compared to normal, the GP guys will build as the weekend goes.

AMA RIDERS would do good to ride reserved until moto one tomorrow.

I know this isn't france but the top three teams it appears will be france, UK, and USA and it could literally go either way depending on luck and starts!!!

nope, they're not live, not even if you payed for the race... unfortunately.
Have never understood why (since they record the race anyways)

I always find it intriguing that AMA riders qualify based on essentially their first couple of laps around a smooth track before any bumps form. But GP guys have multiple sessions before they have to lay down a time that counts for anything.

weren't the qualifiers from MX last weekend streamed live? I thought so, but I may be mistaken.

Thats what I was wondering. Did they learn anything thing from RV or through the team about the smart way to approach the entire weekend leading up to race day? Hopefully the boys pace themselves!!

Today's timed qualifying does not support your analogy.
Fastest Lap: Wilson 7, Webb 5, Anderson 7, Musquin 6

Somewhat solid team, could be better with CD25...

Is Team Australia Dean Ferris ( on his 350 I presume) hurting on the up hills, down on power?

Although, he does appear to be close in practice times to the other Down under riders.

Team USA will have a day like this, then tomorrow's warm up to get set up next week, maybe racing over 2 days is partly why laptimes are closer.

American rider interest in participating in any USGP event began to wane way back in the 80s. It's really why there have been so few USGPs since then : Few American riders = subpar fan turnout. They have nothing to prove and really don't care if some fans don't think they have the "stones" to do it. Their season ended a few weeks ago and it's time to relax for a bit. As a fan I'd love to see them all race but as the overused cliche goes...It is what it is.

So...no resolution to the "I make more money that you" debate? That's almost the internet equivalent to "my dad can beat up yours."

If there's an upside to RV's injury, it's that we didn't have to endure the never ending absurdity of this GP/AMA debate for the entire year. I had forgotten the utter vitriol between the loud-mouthed minority on both sides before reading through the first couple pages of this thread - which, unfortunately, drowns out the reasonable people who come here to talk moto and not who's *cough* is bigger.

Looking forward to the races tomorrow, should be a hell of an event.

When do qualifiers start?

Good to see the 222 back on the race track. I've always liked watching him ride. Seems so effortless and the corner speed is amazing. Go Covington.
