They say Aug 4th is the press release date for detailing their new MX lineup! It's already mid afternoon over there, hoping it happens.

Interesting like the 250 2 stroke KTM no massive changes as well.

Seems they are working on a radical new 250 for 2017.
Both bikes don't have the new body style.

Something is definitely up. I was shocked ktm did nothing to the 250, but the rest of the big bikes got the chassis upgrade.

Someone flat out asked the engineering team at the KTM dealer demo at the Indiana Ironman track if they are doing something DI/EFI with the 250, and they all did that coy smerk with shoulder shrug.

They said they flat-out ran out of time to release it this year. I wish they'd do a 16.5 "Factory Edition" and put Wilson on it for SX.

There's a photo of the cylinder floating around. It's odd looking...

Well the 2017 250 KTM/Husky better blow my mind. I'm sick of waiting the last 5 years for this "DI" bike. I find it weird they would update the 125/150 first. I think they would not sell as well as the 250.

Husky website says 40hp out of a 125 isn't that a little high?

Saw all of the bikes this weekend while riding open practice at budds. The Husky rig was there getting all of the bikes, etc. set up for the press release this week. Very cool! Wish it was open to the public.

It's this bike, but there is a photo from a different angle, and you can see the jug is plenty funky. I saw it come across a social media feed. Same bike, same track, just a photo from a different angle. Hpefully someone knows which pic im talking about and can find it.

Not sure if these are the photos only one's I'm familiar with that were posted. The engine looks really tall for a 250 2T, but with the cranked moved higher it's just an illusion? Hard to say if they will carb the 2017. They might of decided to put on DI and just keep the 2016 the same as last years.

Posted the KX500 motor just for a size reference.

Getting on a plane to Pennsylvania, I head to Maryland for Husky tomorrow evening after I'm done riding the 16 KX450F.

...and how about 63hp out of the 450? That's mindblowing. What does the factory bikes have? 75hp?

I don't see why the SX or TC needs the DI/EFI. Now the XC/ EXC, that is a different deal. Euro regulations for Enduro bikes might be driving that project. They sell many more 125/150s globally, that is why they received the updates first.

Maybe they are quoting crank horsepower with those figures.

@YZ125H1: This is by far one of the cleanest looking bikes out there. Those graphics are simply incredible! Cool

Can't wait to hear that '16 Kawi review! Mostly concerned if my current A-kit on my 2015 will swap over to the 2016? Fairly certain on the forks/triple camps being fine but the shock, I'm not so sure since they changed something with the linkage on the '16.

Shoot me a PM if you want some recommendations on restaurants or anything else while you're in the area, I'm right by budds. Have fun!

Or the time-tested method of measuring horsepower at the brochure.

225.7 lbs (without fuel)

that subframe must be expensive! lol

a few years back the KTM150 had 1.2 HP more than the 250f, but it was in such a small window. I wish I had video of my '11 150 pulling a fat start on some 250fs... AHHH the memories.

I'm going to be a bit busy this week, that's for sure! I'm on the plane right now to PA, just left Phoenix 20 mins ago. I'm riding tomorrow at High Point then jumping in a taxi at the track to run back to the airport and fly down to DC where the hotel is for the Husky event.

ML living the dream! I'm currently sitting in my office with a teasing view of Southern California right out my window. Would much rather be heading to test some bikes out!

By the way.... Do i see this right? 7300 GBP = 11,400 USD for the FC450?????
