Name these guys
My buddy Johnny in three pictures, my old buddy Timmy. Last one is Ron Turner, I think.

I also knew the guy who's truck is in the back ground with Tim but I forgot his name.

Man, I've pulled my share of holeshots over the years, but have never got a perfect shot of myself coming into the first turn. But that first pic of you at LL is boss. No body can question your credentials as long as you whip that photo out. I'd have that bitch on my office wall. I hope 23 and 20 didn't run you wide..ha ha

Found a box with a bunch of pins from the '80's while cleaning out the attic this week.

100cc. Back when they only had four classes at amateur nationals. 100's, 125A, 250A, and Open. Wonder how the promoter made any $$$ and what you would do with all the extra time left in the day. LOL.

I think the moto's were pretty long though 30 mins I recall.

BB67, These are from RedBud. Looks like you are in the one start pic. Also included the results. Just a guess but did you end up 13th? Can't seem to find anything from Loretta's 82. Cheers

Thanx Mark for digging those up and posting. Yes I was 13th.Im sure I had that cycle news at one point but its MIA now. Details are sketchy but I remember the track was so muddy during practice that there was 100s stuck in the track and they let the 125s go out and we had to ride around the bikes while they tried to remove them??Does that ring a bell? Thanx again.BB

LOL.. no they did not.

The start did a sweeping dog leg back then and for quite a few more years before running into the woods currently.

I asked my cousin to take a photo of the start / first turn and there I was. Priceless. Maybe one day I will put it on the wall. Smile

Speaking of the 80's. I have been wanting to find one of these Brad Lackey Arai helmets from back in the day, i would love to have one just for old times sake. I still cant believe i gave away ALL my moto shit in a fit of rage after my accident. I had a ton of cool stuff.

My first year racing- 1980, and this JT gear was the sickness.
RM80 with steel tank and horrible twin shocks that were pretty much ineffective.

ISDE Germany 1989 on prototype RMX. Gearbox blew up on the way to parc ferme. Mark Mangold stayed up all night taking apart two bikes to make one, got a gold and Mark had to ride a chase bike with 1st, 2nd and 4th gears...he rode his butt off and did the job
