I was wondering what you guys feel like is the best woods bike of all time, Mine is a KDX 200(so far)

to be clear I haven't had a chance to ride a lot of woods bikes, I'm 13 so still haven't had much of a chance to ride many but I can't see how something could beat a KDX 200 but maybe it's just my riding style, I like that you can ride it like a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke, but maybe there are better bikes out there I haven't yet experienced, what are your guy's thoughts?

Kaliub Russell smoked everyone one a 150xc last year. A 200 is a great size bike also.

In my opinion? Ktm200exc. In western woods, probably the 300exc. But I'd still prefer my 200.

Do you know if they make a rekluse for any brand besides KTM,that seems to be the only brand I see it on.

Same here. I ride woods on a 200exc in the southeast. When I'm going slow it ain't my bike's fault.

KTM 300 without a doubt. Should be a cheater bike it works that well. Depends on your skill/riding areas but that's my suggestion.

How much you weigh and where the gas stations are count big time. Us woods guys go more than 30 minutes plus two.
There are union breaks though when you get older.

I got smoked in a special test at an enduro by a guy on an XR250... Scott Summers used to rave about these bikes too. Something easy to ride is best. I would love to try a 200exc

My pops bought a new WR250F and after the YZ tune and some suspension work, I loved it for the tight singletrack and service roads. The bike stock is capable low, mid, and cruising high..but I prefer my 2010 YZ250F handling wise. The front end has a "doughy" feel IMO on the 2015. I've ridden my buddy's KTM200EXC and even for being a ten year old bike it kicks ass in the woods. Maybe I just like it because I don't get on 2 strokes that much but man..it's sick.

My 02 kdx200 was an absolutely perfect woods bike to me. I traded it to an mx bike (97 rm250), and ive been trying to get my mx bikes to perform like the kdx ever since. Perfect eastern woods bike for a non-racing trail rider.

The KDX200 is an awesome woods bike. Keep it as long as it makes you happy. I sold mine a few years ago to buy a KTM 200XC.I followed popular internet opinion to go for an XC model. Big mistake. Suspension was to harsh for real trail work. I have ridden some XCW's/EXC's since and they offer a plusher ride on rocks, roots, braking and acceleration chop. The KTM had a great motor, but I missed my KDX when the trails got real gnarly. Sooo easy to ride.
Don't be in a rush to get rid of it!

I wish they would bring it back, MSRP of $4499 back in 2005. Good times, good times.

A good friend of mine rode KDX200's for many years. Enduros, desert races, Six Days....he did them all. One of those "best bikes ever". Good choice.

I ride a 250xc but like a couple other guys mentioned, a 200xc would be the perfect choice IMO. Unless you have a lot of open area like desert stuff then you don't need a million HP for trails. All that does is force you into more errors and wear you out.

Yep. Those hybrids are literally perfect bikes. Kawasaki couldve made a mint making hybrids to sell.

Own a yz 125 as well, just as fun of bike on a track but the KDX would smoke that bike in the woods any day but maybe with a 144 kit it would be more competitive...
