You can file an appeal if you miss a season to keep your number.

What is the official rule? I thought it was 1 year to keep your "permanent" number.

Did he not score points before he was tested in April 2014?

Also, there is a clause or grace period if I remember correctly.

And, he will be racing this year, so he should get a point or two

And the same genius thinks they are the first to think of this and post it on an here....so they don't even bother to do a simple search for it!

That would require paperwork being filed in an accurate and timely manner.
We all know how well that turned out before!

i was gonna give odds on the search function and its use by commoners but i figured that might overload the thread with common sense.

If they took his number away during this shit someone would deserve to get stabbed in the face with a soldering iron.

LMFAO!

On a serious note though , I think James should and will keep that big ol' #7 until he retires. I can't see him out there with anything different. Besides the #259 on a Suzuki is already being used across the pond with Coldenhoff .

Keep that #7 James!

It would have to be taken by a 250mx or 450sx/mx class champion also. Do you think Musquin/Martin or Dungey/Tomac are going to ditch their career numbers for #7.
