I mean really, he couldn't possibly be that fit, or go that fast without training with Aldon Baker. Woohoo

I think Eli has some good genetics and a pretty good workout partner

Yep,, add a work ethic similar to Carmichael, training at elevation, and some natural talent and bingo.

Not to mention that aggressive two stroke training.

It's scary to think how great Eli will be when he finally accepts Aldon as his trainer and savior.

As you all know, Eli's father was a great mtb athlete and even rode for a professional roadbike team in Europe.
For sure, he know all the ways to maximise endurance.

I hope he stays Honda instead of possibly losing his mojo on a new bike

He's already signed green so that's over. And as great as Aldon is, JT is even better. Massive bonus points for not being the typical mini day in any way. He actually tried to slow down Eli's ascent rather than pushing him like he was his golden goose. Big fan of both those guys.

That's almost an insult to JT. Greatest MTB racer of all time, possibly the greatest to pedal a bike, ever. World champion in both XC and DH in the same year, multiple world cup and NORBA titles.

If anyone ever was a toplevel roadcyclist, they know cardio and endurance training.

The insult was made by you...

I remember that too. I thought I heard he would limit his practice time or the amount of classes he would race when he was younger so he wouldn't get burnt out.

Aldon is pretty much a glorified baby sitter that feeds his kids a little better than the PB&J my sitter used to give me. Guessing that's why I was so slow!

Everyone is saying it's a done deal with kawi, with the way he is riding I really hope he can jive with the ergo's on a new bike especially since he has been on Honda for so long....might kinda be a mind f*** for him.
