Not trying to beat a dead horse over the head

Edited Date/Time 5/18/2015 10:02am
Not trying to beat a dead horse over the head with three baseball bats, but some of the things that GL and Weege would say would make me and my dad look at eachother and say "what?Blink " like when GL said Jeremy Martin might be riding on a pillow, but Ken roczen is riding on a pole every time he sits down." I understood the reference, but, I still found myself shaking my head.Grinning

What is allowed as far as medication for pain and still being allowed to race?

I've wondered about this before as well. If a pain killer/blocker "enhances" performance wouldn't it be similar to the benefits of ADD meds? Is there some sort of trackside exemption for pain killers? No idea.

Dunno, maybe injections are fine, but it got a little awkward right after he said that..

That's what was reported...and I'm not sure that the "nurse" incident isn't what brought #7 all his heartache. You can only let yer weiner hang out for so long till somebody whacks it. Just so's you know....I'm a fan of James.

Right up there with Art Eckmans Vasoline comment on the gay sexual inuendo moto comments hall of fame.

Cortisone shots are fine I believe, but toradol shots are not.

If you wanted to get super technical then you could call Tylenol a performance enhancer. The way I understand is that anything that doesn't have a banned substance in it, is legal on race day provided that it is not administered through an IV. I could be mistaken but that is how I remember it being explained to me

It shouldn't matter, they should be able to give him whatever pain meds he wanted for his condition. Freakin wada is the devil.

Toradol is anti inflammatory and excellent stuff. I was in agony for two weeks with a hamstring issue until I got the shot. Umknown if is verboten but many pro riders have gotten them but not typically on race day. It needs time to get into your system.

I thought they did a great job, they didn't call the sx season the winter series and when ac50 was down weege says "He's dusting himself of like a chinchilla after a dust storm" that had me laughing!!

Completely agree. Won't complain about them as long as we don't have to listen to Ralph or RC. I basically have to watch sx on mute any more.

Weege is the second best announcer this sport ever had (next to Larry Huffman). GL was good considering it was the first race. I like the atmosphere of the broadcast, feels like you are hanging out with those guys vs. Listening to them doing their job.

Weege and GL are great. I missed Weege doing the word of the day when AC was down. Darn!
