James' track is on the extremely difficult end of the spectrum for even the top 1% of the industry. (Reference sevendeucedeuce on pulp mx a few weeks ago) There are more things to being "technical" than just rough. You must not be fully aware of the level of talent you just watched...

really?
The GPs would be lucky to have that level of track on their schedule! That is a National Level Track in his back yard, not those glorified local tracks you guys call world class!
It's hardly a technical track is it. It's a flat out track. ,it's not rough it's not tight there's no cambers in it. It's wide open sweeping corners, it's probably a fun track to ride but it's not some where a world class rider should be honing his skills.
Yes the American style tracks are on average faster than the gp tracks , but the USA tracks are so groomed in between races and over the weekend it takes a lot of the skill out of them,

He's Irish.
To be honest I watched the video yesterday and thought the same thing as matrix lee. People obviously have their own view of what Motocross is about and what impresses them, but that doesn't do much for me.

That's just... I don't even know what to say to that.
What exactly is 'National Level' about that...? A few big jumps?
A video of someone ripping on a 125 at the Stewart compound turns into a whats wrong with RV thread thanks to our friends across the pond , lol, classic vital . Did anyone stop and think that maybe just maybe after Ryans layoff he might have gotten similar results in the nationals this season ?

As an European, I totally understand what you're saying.
The average speed on Stewarts track with a 125 is higher than the maximum speed of a 450 on a GP track. Stewart's track is awesome, nobody is saying it sucks but it is more flat out and jumps than really hard, trick, technical corners with a lot of bumps (which are more familiar on GP tracks). Therefore RV has difficulty to adapt to these new GP tracks.
We're not saying this is better than that. We just highlight the difference between USA and EU track.

It is completely asinine to talk shit about it. Must be a miserable life that's makes a guy complain about a pinger ripping on a backyard practice track.
I had the chance to meet Challen and his family at the LLQ in Iowa last year. I could tell he had the it factor on and off the bike. He was on the Junior Des Nations winning team last year, which was on a GP track, so he does know how to ride rough and technical.

He clears all jumps what Buba does on a 450!
