I also found it kind of weird how open he was about his injury and how he aggravated it again once he got back on the bike. Total opposite of how everyone else is with injuries.

in case you haven't noticed..........conditioning and other attributes make the MX nationals a little more taxing than jumping around a stadium for 20 minutes

Given KR was doing damn good in SX until he injured his ankle twice then the whole Aldon thing in my opinion isnt a factor. I am willing to bet KR will be in strong contention for the 450 outdoor title. He has also had the benefit of getting an outdoor setup while everyone else has been racing SX, and practicing outdoors.

Let the racing begin and the best man come out on top! I have my favorites for sure, but my ideal season would be for all the top contenders finish all 24 motos with no more than very minor injuries. Hope the season is a ball busting, knock down drag out brawl between maybe 5 or 6 of the fastest racers in the world. I also hope we get the very same scenario in the 250 class, but I'm only dreaming.

Time will tell how it plays out. Just as this past SX season, the first 2 or 3 races may not tell us anything unless one of the top guys has a DNF. That being the case, said rider maybe pretty much be out of contention immediatly.

Peace out friends and neighbors and enjoy one of the best shows on earth!

Last year prior the 2015 SX Kroc didn't raced for about 5 month and guess what he won the 1st SX race remember?
(It's only a couple of month back)

Seems you don't now anything about Kroc!

He will come relaxed to the outdoors and it is a huge advantage not racing the last SX races.
I knew that he will not come back because the SX champion was decided back than.

I don't have the insight of his trainings plan but he is not injured from ATL anymore since weeks!
He could have raced the SX but they are focusing on the outdoors since 2 month already.

So he will be better prepared than he could be with riding SX all rounds.
If you follow him a little you will realize he fades away at the end of a season always! (even with Alden as a coach)
That's not physical that's mental if he can win the championship.
Last year he was about to give away the nationals but 1 race brought him back on track a mud race.

If he don't get injured he will be always in top 5 and the first 3 races he might be up front.

And the discussion with Alden is crazy like hell, he might be the best coach but not for everybody!

Guys not racing SX doesn't mean he cant ride anymore!

The championship this year is either #5 or #94.
The open question will be how the "magic" KTM 450 works outdoors, I still guess they build a SX bike.
But will see!

His fitness was great when he raced the GP's and that was without Aldon. And even though RV isn't dominating over there, it's still a benchmark to show that you have to be equally fit in that series as you do in America. I say that to say I think he can find the physical strength to win over here without Aldon but the mental side of it I don't know. I just think the time off the bike, not training/racing like Dungey is going to hinder his performance. Who knows though.

I'm pretty sure Roczen will be fine, as defending champ. Yes he's still carrying an injury so that may hold him back a bit.

bagget will have some good rides but I expect his m.o to be the same outdoors as in, settle in, let the results come, and they will as he is class but he won't be trying to kill himself this year. In fact BB will wipe the floor with CS.

Coming from an Englishman who travelled California and Nevada this April I can see why Roczen and others have had such a problem, getting used to it, it's so damn hot over there and it's nowhere near summer.

True grit to see it through the training, never mind the racing, twice in a day.

Im going to agree , but he is the 2014 National 450 champ , he has a number of SX 450 wins so you really cant count him out
he won a lot of 450 motos and was very strong last year
Last summer was mild , if we get some real heat that will favor Ryan Dungey
I think the same fast 4 (Dungey , Tomac , Canard , Roczen) we had in SX will rise to the top in MX as long as they stay healthy and If they stay healthy it will come down to consistency...

I think it depends on if we have a hot summer or not. If we have a really hot summer I'm worried we will see him fade in the 2nd Moto.

One thing is for sure, Dungey and Roczen are the two favorites to win the title.

Here's how I see it playing out. KRoc Will be impressive for about the first 8-10 motos. He has a jump on everyone so it will take a little bit for people to catch up with fitness and setup. I think at that point he will start to fade a lillte, Maybe he peaks his training and gets burnt out. Seems to be a pattern. Dungey has a lot in his favor compared to ken, He has Aldon who has studied and worked on Kennys weak points. Think about the advantage to having someone who knows kennys heart rates at each track, he weak points in practice etc. If you knew what your competitors weak spots are and you have the guy who worked with the 2 previous champions it helps. Look at him in SX. I think tomac will be a strong charger. Its hard to say where he will be just too inconsistent. Overall I think Dunge will be on top. His life is stable and his current setup is working well, Where guys like Barcia & roczen are dealing with some really big paychecks for the first time. I don't care what anyone says, having enough money to buy or do almost anything shakes your life up a bit. I hope Noren Has a solid run, along with wp & cp377. Its going to be a long hot summer so we will see what plays out, Ill be at High Point & Budds Creek Supporting the 731.

I forgot that he recently moved to Florida last year. I think the extra time there now will benefit at the warmer races.
