How much did you pay for your 2015 KTM 450 Factory Edition? Not looking for a gift or insider price, just a fair (knowing it's kinda special) price for comparison purposes.

Depends where you are and how many bikes are left in the area but mid 10's sounds about right. The 16's should be out July ish(?) and should be a little less expensive...

Digger knows how to work it. He gets good deals but he gives back by spreading the word so effectively. A lot of young guys who are twice as fast could learn a lot by emulating him rather then walking around acting like they're gods gift and thinking they 'deserve' everything for free.

Those prices sound too good to be true. Would anyone who paid over $11,500 OTD even post it after seeing these numbers?

No matter how ya look at it, u could never compare prices to us guys on the east coast, I dont know why,but it seems cali pwople ALWAYS pay the highest prices for dirtbikes. Either way, and im not one to talk about spending $$$ on bikes lol, when u hear guys paying in the $range for a stock dirtbike the first thought in my head is wtf! Iol, its just a tough one to swallow cause regardless what u think, at the end of the riding year, its very hard to find someone to buy a used 4stroke for $8k

5400$ OTD for my Suzuki 450, half the price, same amount of fun. I know we all want a nice bike but we're not factory riders! Why blow your wallet on this bike

I'm definitely not going down this I paid too much for my bike road again. I got the bike that I wanted for a what I considered a decent price and I shouldn't have to justify why I bought it over a RMZ450 for $5400. I didn't want an RMZ450, and for that fact I really didn't want any of the other current 450s including the KTM 450 either. I wanted the FE because based on everything I was told by my KTM connections it was very much like a 2 stroke on the track and that it suited my riding style. I would've stayed on my 15 300SX if I wasn't able to get a new FE and after racing it twice and practicing on 3 times I know I made the right decision. Just my 2 cents so please don't take it the wrong way :-)

Who sold you that bike for that price? (Or do you live in a state with no sales tax? or do you have some sort of rider support/sponsorship through a the dealership)???

To get the bike for $9200 OTD in Utah, you'd have to pay a sticker price of $8500 and then the other $700 or so would be sales tax and doc prep. And $8500 is about a grand under any sticker price I've seen on the 15 FE's.

One question (off topic...my apologies) I have about the new FE...would it make a good off road bike? Smile

I prefer motocross bases for desert race bikes (over the jap brand "off road bikes")....but would the FE be better, off road, than the 450 XC??? I'd have to spend some extra money on the FE (oversized tank, lots of body armor, suspension...do they make oversized tanks for the FE?)...but I'd spend that money on any bike I purchased, so that's not a huge concern. But, I don't like the no kick starter...that could be a problem...especially since I run a ReKluse and can't bump start the bike.

But if its as light and as good as advertised...sure would be sweet!

Who says it blew the wallet? You don't have the first clue about anyone else's finances. For all you know, $10,000 is a night out for some of us.

Congrats on your deal for $5400 on your Suzuki. The Suzuki wasn't what I wanted. So it wouldn't have been worth it to me to pay that for a bike I didn't want.

They didn't.
Why blow your wallet on the Suzuki? $5400 is a lot of money to some people. To others $10,500 is.

Have you ridden the 450FE? I've ridden both and the suzuki is NOT as fun. I hate 450's but damn the FE is fun to ride.

The only concern for the FE to be a desert bike (for me) is the close ratio trans (yes you could go to smaller rear sprocket) and the availability of the bigger tank.

Other than that bring it onSmile
