Take your money and run before you get really hurt.
That's my advice for him.

Gonna be some pretty 'butt-hurt" fans. Pun intended

Well that sucks.. he must have tried riding today and decided it was too painful.

Wonder how many Americans will still watch the GP?

The racing has been fantastic regardless of RV.

Nagl vs. Tony will be interesting this weekend. Both are great there and Nagl is the best I've ever seen him.

1 any chance he tries again next year? he seemed to be having a good time.

I have to admit, I'm bummed about RV not racing......but I will still be up early Sunday AM on the east coast to watch the races. Would love to be able to watch the EMX125 class but at 3AM and after leaving my house at 6AM Saturday to get to MetLife SX, it's not going to happen.

On number 2: I hope not. He's been getting beat pretty handily over there this year.

I gotta say, I'm pretty tired of all the negative banter back and forth between the RV vs MXGP numbskulls(regardless of which side you're on), BUT the upside to all this is I have taken another look at the GP's(I pretty much checked out as a fan when SE72 was winning 2 classes on the same day). As much as I hate and don't want to support GL and YS, I'm now completely a fan of the series again. The idiosyncrasies, the differences from our series, plus a new appreciation of just how bad ass the boys over there are, has been a pleasure to get reacquainted with. I will be watching even after RV leaves the series

A certain Steve Miller Band song comes to mind. He should just be sure to clean out his locker!

Sales of online streaming just dropped.

I wonder what the effect will be on attendance...

Now that circumstances have changed he might be inclined to give it another go. At least I hope so!

And yes I think he will definitely be considered for the nations team, especially if it is his last year.

I certainly won't be watching live timing for practice or waking up early to watch the races live, but I'll still watch when it comes on TV late Sunday.

Since I don't get the Fox Sports channels, I don't get to watch the supercross races. I do, however, get CBSSN which shows them "foreign" races on Sunday afternoon. So yes, I will keep watching. Besides that, the racing between the top four (now three) guys has been excellent.
Just waiting for ol' 222 to hit high gear, and leave them other jokers wondering what happened. :-)

Damn, this is a real bummer. Watching RV over there has been really exciting, for me at least. I really hope he heals up, finishes out the season (gets the bike and tracks dialed), and then gives it another (one last) go next year.

So according to this logic, Team USA might as well not even show up for MXdN, since the guy who was pretty much the most dominate US rider hasn't beat the GP guys, yet..

How are you calling RV the most dominate [sic] US rider? The guy has two 450 national championships and hasn't raced the US nationals in since 2013. He hasn't raced in the MXdN since, what, 2011?

X2 that would be the smart thing to do, cracked tailbone that sounds painful as hell. I dont even think pain injections can numb that ass enough for him to be able to ride. I just dont see him racing for a few weeks.

Super disappointing and something I think we all feared. Just gutted.

I was never a RV fan when he was here but objectively speaking, he was "the guy to beat" whenever he lined up on the gate. When was the last time, SX or MX, that RV stayed healthy the entire season and didn't win a championship?? My comments weren't meant to be critical, but objective..

C'mon!
You all guys serious?
RV is still RV and championship is not over...
May be this first part of the season was not his best but don't forget he won a race and there so many races to race.
It's just that RV has to understand some more things and then will be able to show who he is..
Our TC222 would do the same if he would have made an U.S. outdoor National..
They are human beings,it's just that..
Just wait.
Let's hope RV will heal fast or even race Walkensvaard so that he will earn good points.
Panda and Nagl are not as fast as RV or TC222 on sand...
You guys are talking too early according to me.

Time for GL and YS to find out exactly how big of an impact he really has on the viewership / sales on online streaming.

Sure glad I didn't buy the whole year package since its only round 5. I will continue to watch the CBS broadcast, but no way I am going to pay for the live stream without RV.
