Came up short on pro ax finish line double and faceplanted pretty bad. Destroyed the helmet (pic doesnt do it justice) and broke both of my wrists... but not even a headache after. I'd say the helmet did its job.
also to note, only my 2nd time wearing that helmet... damn it. not the one i wore all season..the new one..of course.
And man have they come a long way in the design department. initially I wanted to wear fly but just couldn't bring myself to wear it. Now it looks as good or better than most other stuff out there.

I haven't tried Fly helmets simply because I used to be notorious for taking nasty diggers and my helmets never failed me, so I will stick with them.
The picture above with Short just proves it. Overall, it is a well done design.
My main point of the thread was to point out the improvements Fly has been making over the years. I always wanted to buy it because of the support they provided but just was not a fan of the previous designs.
Keep up the good work Fly and I can't wait to see what you guys come up with in the future, hopefully a few more options in that "KINETIC VECTOR MESH" style. I may put some "mockups" together later for fun.

Moreover, the company's support at both the professional and amateur level is unparalleled, which is reason enough to run it.
Overall, both Fly and parent company WPS have made massive inroads into the marketplace over the last decade, and have filled the gap left behind by another distributor that used to operate — not so much anymore — according to the adage (and its own marketing slogan) of "support those who support the sport."
Moreover, the gear that Brayton was running earlier in the day in San Diego is the best mix of black and color offered by any company this year, in my opinion of course. I needs to get me some of that!
Finally, JT is the man — the best representation of its ethos that any company could hope for. My huge personal bias notwithstanding.
I will stick to my Fox Flexair gear for now but who knows, maybe JT could talk me over to the Fly camp?
Fox offers great stuff, but I wont purchase any for the mere fact that some riders that own it Drive dirtbikes, and dont ride them, if you catch my drift.
Is that common in US? It's just something i can't relate to at all! Interesting stuff.
But yeah it seems like Fly are doing a fantastic job of helping out the backbone of the mx community!
Pit Row
Curious what you run, and why you run it?
good gear but doesn't have the same "cool factor as Fox.Fox stiill sells easier.
I will say that Fly is awesome at putting money back into the sport, and they sponsor Stankdaaaaawg!
sorry JT$ i wear that helmet with alias gear, alloy chest protector, axo belt and alpinestars boots. (pulp show)
i plan to start buying more fly stuff though until the squid look goes.
