And he's been riding like this the ENTIRE time he's been pro. No break needs to be given.

He's had 3 serious injuries in 1 year has been off the bike probably far more than any others out there. He's riding back into it. New bike (limited time) New team (limited time). How narrow minded people on here are

See....this is what kills me. Serious injuries??????????????/ No a serious injury is a broken back or a BROKEN NECK, or a torn MCL, PCL etc. What he's had are broken limbs. A new bike? "Its the best bike ive ever ridden" Yes thats why he is doing terrible on it. Peick (his teammate) is also on a new bike for the first time as well and he is killing it!! Peick is ALSO on a new team with the same limited time yet he is posting top 5's like its his job (well actually it is) and riding that bike like a badass even when getting slammed to the ground.

I dont mean to be a dick but Peick was a FAR better signing for JGR than Barcia and it kills me that everyone keeps making excuses for his shitty riding...The "Limited Time" theory is especially funny because he was signed sealed and delivered before the SX season was over last year meaning he's had PLENTY of time to ride and get used to the bike. If anyone had limited time it wouldve been Peick.

Lets stop making excuses for Barcia he is not riding well and his 2nd tier of a teammaqte is showing how you're supposed to geti it done, Im sorry but none of what Ive stated isnt true

what annoys me about Barcia is he aggressively blocks people.. I love aggressive racing but I hate when people go out of their way to stop a faster rider getting by them.. and yes I know he's meant to race for position but when you're crossing across the track and taking people wide and slowing EVERYONE down just to keep them behind you, I just think it's lame
race forward and shit

JB is comming back from injury, and was riding good before injury. Maybe his races did not go well early in the season but he was riding good.

Well you sound like a dick even if you don't mean to. IF you had any objectivity you would look at JGR and say both riders sustained injuries this year. When one of them came back(twisted knee) he ran up front but faded back for the first 4-5 races back after the injury. He couldn't train properly due to the injury so it was ok and even applauded that he was up front. Just wait until he can train and he will stay up there is what we were told by all the keyboard mgr's. When the second rider came back, he ran up front for a bit but faded back as well. His fading is inexcusable and his injuries(broken hip) were not really serious so no excuses. Oh and by the way,the first race the second rider came back, he beat the first rider that everyone is saying is awesome.

Pretty much the definition of hypocrisy right there.

It doesn't appear you know a lot either. Wasn't the injury last year that ended his year some sort of ankle injury? I work on an ortho floor and a large percentage of ankle/foot injuries require 10 to 12 weeks non weight bearing status (again I don't know barcia's exact surgery) but I know that muscles are lost and shit gets real stiff real quick when not in use. Sure you can do physical therapy but you are severly limited in what you can due with strengthening and endurance when you can't apply any weight. Ankles in particular get really stiff from lack of use.

This last one was a fucking cracked hip correct? It was probably also non wt bearing for a period. If you don't think a hip is a major injury then ask anyone who has broken one. I've had both an acl injury and a hip injury in the last three years. They both hurt like a bitch but my hip has been much harder to deal with and I may never shift another gear again in my life with my foot because of nerve damage from that broken hip (my left foot has barely any use right now). This thing is 4 months old now.

Sure mines a worse break and I'm not a barcia fan either but to sit back and say a man's broken up shit ain't a serious injury is bs for you to judge.

To me the mcl you mention isn't in the same league as a broken ankle or cracked hip.

You sir are spot on about what Weston has done, it's been amazing to watch. Barcia hasn't looked good to me on that new Yamaha yet and he came into this season healthy. He hadn't raced in awhile but he had ample time to do better than he was doing I thought.

I know they said he wasn't happy with the Honda but for sure he was faster on it than he has been the yami so far!

although I tend to agree to a point, the guy is just stepping back into the ring for his first fight, so to speak in a long time. I'm not a fan...but want to give a little grace.

But, I do hate the way Barcia thinks he has to ride most of the time. Other riders get it done without the slamming, brake checking & making every pass a near-park or punting event...but JB is what he is. To me he's overhyped & makes up for a lot of other riding skills by living out his nickname way too much. But, that's just my opinion.

First off I am a fan of Barcias, so I'll throw that right out there. I didn't see Justin doing anything last night that was out of line in a 450 SX final. He looked good for a few laps when he got the holeshot and yes he was protecting the lead as long as he could and then looked eratic as he faded down the order. But all this shit you guys carry on about I haven't really seen out of him since he became a full time 450 guy. All that being said I am beginning to wonder if he will ever live up to the billing he got after showing some really good rides his first year on the big bikes. I still feel like he needs someone to get through to him about some of his technique, he needs to smooth out in places without a doubt.

Barcia is one of my favorite riders but the injury deal isn't an excuse. Peick raced after a torn MCL and with a broken foot and produced. Canard was out with what really was a serious injury and he came back making serious results. Barcia has just struggled ever since he got on a 450

I'm so glad someone started a Bam Bam thread. Saved me the trouble. I am not a fan of the Bam Bam at all. He lost me when he peeled out on the medical crew. He's the new Alessi maybe? Does he really think he can keep a faster guy behind him for 20 laps.

People bitch when a rider drops anchor and lets everyone blow by.

People bitch when a rider fights to keep his position.

We should all try to agree on what Barcia should do next weekend, get everyone on the same page. J-bone can relay the message to him so we can all be happy.

Struggled to 2 Supercross victories his rookie SX season against RV, Stewart, Dungey, Reed, etc. That's as many as Tomac has in his second SX season (first full season) against lesser competition. More than Seeley and Anderson in their rookie year. I am in no way a Barcia fan, but the crying on here made me have to post a few stats. Let's not get our panties in a bunch just yet. It's been a rough couple of years. You want to slam somebody, Deano would be a much easier target.

Yea everybody hates on Barcia but let me repost.

2 - 250 SX titles
11 - 250 SX Wins
3 - 250 MX Wins
2- 450 SX Wins

By my count that's two titles and 16 wins more wins then Peick.
Also Barcia has 57 podiums and Peick now has 1.

He is not smart. Guys live RV...Stew...they ONLY use a block pass when they absolutely have to. Why? Many reasons:
1. As you noted, block passing is slow. If you are in 5th, and you block pass your way to 2nd...you will probably lose 5s to the leader in the process. Every time you do it, you and the guy you pass both lose lots of time to the riders ahead of you.
2. Block passing is risky. If you block pass 100% of the time...over the course of a season, you will end up on the dirt a number of times. That is enough to cost you a a position or two in the standings.
3. They dont have to. Stew, RV, even ET...they have the corner speed to come in wide, square early, and get drive off a corner to set a pass up on exit. Have we EVER seen Barcia do this? No. He does not have that level of corner speed.

Both of Barcia's 450 wins were where he got the holey and got a huge jump at the start. If he has to pass people...he can't win, because he will block pass every time, and lose time to the leader. A rider who can not win from behind can not be considered a championship contender.

As DV has noted many times, he does not seem able to adjust his style to the 450...

And what does this thread have to do with WP? Why make that comparison... There are 20 riders on the line other than WP....

Do you realize that pretty much everyone's first win comes because they got a good start and opened up a gap or at the misfortune of others? You're not really downplaying him with that statement. Does anybody think Barcia is a title contender? I missed that part. Apparently some think he's more than what he really is. Many win 125/250 class SX championships and never do shit on a 450.

So two 450 main sx wins is now described as "never do shit". Genius!!!!!!
